Be careful this is VIP level in Regina!

  • Go to the game, watch a real team play.

  • Ya we'd been planning on going but there's zero accommodations in a non-exorbitant price range, so we said screw it... The West Final will be our GC trip, and then we'll do a massive GC party at our h

these prices just seem insane...... I think at GC 2019, we payed 150 each for "decent" seats (albeit at the shittiest stadium in Canada) ....but 300-400/ticket....?? To be in Saskatchewan?? Jayzuzzz...

These are going rates for the Grey Cup these days. The Winnipeg Cup in 2015 tickets were $300 until the usual low sales forced them to discount late. League is pricing itself out of the average fan market.

Yup.  Popped into the Bomber store last night and that was the sentiment for a lot of people there.

We are definitely paying more this year than we paid in 2019 but we bought early this year instead of waiting.  We have a decent size group that we wanted to sit with so the concern was not being able to get tickets all together if we waited until the last minute.

I paid 199 with the STH discount for 2015 here. I agree though that the league is pricing it beyond the average fan, especially given the past year or so and inflation.

So did I, but had to commit to purchasing season tickets for 2016 as part of the discount. Then one month before the game with tickets sales lagging below 25,000, the club offered the same discount to all fans, no strings attached to save face before the league. Then downsized the expansion of the stadium to avoid 15,000 empty seats. Made me feel pretty neglected as a season ticket holder. Then the club goes 5-13 and the club calls me up after the game to remind me to re-up, saying “you’ve committed to re-new, right?”  I answered “Yes, but I’m starting to feel like a sucker for paying year after year for this lousy football team and a club that doesn’t seem to care about it’s base”. That gripe was met with a smirk and a shrug that basically said “yeah, but we’ve got your money locked in, so what are you going to do?”. Seems a world away now, but although my loyalty did not waver, sure felt like I was being spat upon then.

I did the same thing and that Cup was during a time where I legit almost just decided I’d had enough.

Its also crazy that they are asking 50 bucks for a 1 day party room pass. At least Spirit of Edmonton hasn't gone insane and are still just charging 10 bucks.

The Spirit of Edmonton breakfast is $135 per person. They aren’t running a party room. Not sure what you are getting to for $10, could you elaborate? And the party pass is for access to all 6 team party rooms per day, so not a terrible rate overall.

There is literally nothing to do in that city.

Sit around their casino and wait for the game?

I've had so many people ask me why I'm not going to the game, and I say with complete sincerity, I just will not spend that kind of money to stay in Saskatchewan for any length of time. Not even remotely joking.

It is really hard to get people to go there for even one night.

I’m considering flying to other provinces over driving to Sask for games

one of mine and Dave's best friends actually flew from Wpg to Calgary to spend the week with us and watch the game at my house, north of YYC, rather than go to the game and have to be in Sask for any length of time.

I would not miss the chance to witness live and in person the Bombers hoisting the Cup in Mosaic and drinking out of it in the Rider locker room. Saw the inaugural win at Mosaic, the inaugural playoff win, the inaugural West Final win, and the inaugural NHL game win, all in person. Need to complete the set!
