Looked like he was shouting go! go! until they got a second look. Lapo smells blood but even now he won't gamble.

Ugh... TSN... Redblacks are rolling, and they leave for and return from commercials with JWJ images and chatups

I will never forget a game against the argos when he was our HC. Drove the entire length of the field into the wind. Kicked it on like 3rd and 1 from the 2.

The Lapoest of Lapo moves. He was infuriating, the master of hanging around just long enough to only barely lose

Evans has a mediocre arm but is making good reads.

LaPo ain't going for it on 3rd and 2 ever

Given the struggles they have had scoring this year and how decent their defence has been, taking the points is not a bad idea against this Elk squad.

Selfishly I hope this totally breaks Edmonton's spirit since we play them back to back.

It looks really good on them. Imagine being the only team to lose to Ottawa, then doing it twice

I think EDM got away with procedure there but oh well

Agreed. Worst case your decent D has them on a looong field. You should succeed, anyhow... a winning team would

Exactly.

O'donnell looked like he jumped for sure.

Good for local kid Shai Ross to put up 6 though.

The RedBlacks are far from a winning team right now, though. No question it is a conservative strategy, we’ll see at game’s end of it is a winning one.

I admit I prefer some aggression from a team. That's just not Lapo's style in general and he hasn't had the luxury of being ahead much this season... I hope he isn't already easing off the gas

After the first 2 drives Caleb Evans was 3/3  for 38 yards and 2 TDs. Keep in mind the Esks fumbled 1 play into their first drive.

Since the second drive he is 6/8 for 94 yards. Lapo will cling to this 10 point lead.

This mentality is always the right call until it isn't.

3rd and 2 from the 5 at home.

Doing it almost every time.

Ottawa is going to victory formation the rest of the game.
