July 13, 20204 yr comment_480094 “Making that decision and pulling the trigger to come up to Winnipeg right away, just trusting my gut and my instincts, it really paid off. I wouldn’t be in this position now had it not been for making that decision.” Chris Streveler https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/13/signing-winnipeg-best-move-ever-made/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter 👁🗨I’ve finished re-watching our playoff run of 2019 and I can’t believe what an impact Chis Streveler made on the physical side of the ball as well as to the psyche of all his teammates. As thrilling as it was to see his growth and presence on our team, as a fan, I cannot put into words the sheer excitement he exuded every time he touched the ball. You could see it in his body language and mannerism. And, you could see it in his teammates. He spread that enthusiasm throughout the roster. If we never see him again, we can look back on the time he was with us, and be thankful, because he was ours.Grey Cup 2019. Remembered always!
July 15, 20204 yr comment_480257 Marcus Sayles“Looking back, I never thought in a million years I would be in Canada,” he said. “And I never thought in a million years how fast this process would be. It just feels like I left school and this is now going to be my third year as a pro. This is going to be my fourth team after the Bills, Rams and the Bombers and Minnesota now.“https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/15/catching-marcus-sayles/ What a year Marcus had. I hope he gets to play this year..
July 17, 20204 yr comment_480516 Jonathan KongboLast year was a physical, spiritual and emotional healing for me,” began the 24-year-old defensive end during a conversation with bluebombers.com from his home in Surrey, B.C. “That all happened in Winnipeg for me. I remember when I first got there, there was this ambiance around the team and the staff. Everyone believed in me and told me I was a good player and, in a sense, that helped rebuild me.“And by the end of the Grey Cup I would say I had come a long way. But that was a byproduct of the great leaders I was around in the locker room, the culture of Coach O’Shea set… it was the best thing that could have happened to me.”.https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/17/catching-jonathan-kongbo/ https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/17/catching-jonathan-kongbo/
July 18, 20204 yr comment_480638 Something like this just goes against my goya He could have had a very good year...ED TAIT@EDTAITWFCA receiver lives for these moments, those times when the game slows down, when there is an almost-ESP connection with the quarterback, when the routes are crisp and quick and the defender is in full chase mode.Kenny Lawler had a lot of those moments last year with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, a season in which he led the club in receiving yards with 637 and had four touchdowns among his 43 receptions. He was also the Bombers’ Most Outstanding Rookie and there was a very real sense all of those numbers – and, as a result, his impact on every game – were going to see a big-time boost in 2020.https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/18/first-10/

July 19, 20204 yr comment_480657 I didn’t realize Lawler was our leading receiver with only 637 yards.

August 6, 20204 yr comment_482134 Just a heads up for anyone that wants to watch -- they're unveiling the Grey Cup rings online tonight. 7:30 Manitoba time, I believe on their FB and Insta "Live" feeds.....
August 7, 20204 yr comment_482188 I like the simple elegance of this ring..not overdone. Edited August 7, 20204 yr by Mr Dee
August 7, 20204 yr comment_482190 Would have liked a little more blue on the sides. Seems a little plain.
August 7, 20204 yr comment_482197 Will be interesting to learn the meanings behind various features (e.g. there are X number of diamonds because ______).

There isnt much to learn. There are 11 sapphires for the 11 grey cups. The diamonds just fill in the rest. The cool part is there is a unique inscription for everyone inside the ring that is different for each player. Thought that was a nice touch.

You said "there isn't much to learn", then list two things. Good job contradicting yourself. 😜 And my diamonds reference was just an example. I never said they definitely had meaning. August 7, 20204 yr comment_482247 More details on the details on this ‘plain’ ring. Fabulous. Golden Boy, IGF field, player’s names. Really nice.
August 7, 20204 yr comment_482251 No one is arguing about the ring. Its clearly beautiful. Some of us think it would be even nicer with more blue. Looking back at some of the previous years, the winning teams colors are more prominent.

Some of these rings get so full of detail they start looking terrible.
