At least nine members of the return team will line up in a "setup zone" between the 35- and 30-yard lines. Up to two returners can line up in a "landing zone" between the goal line and the 20-yard line. No one other than the kicker and returner(s) can move until the ball hits the ground or hits a player inside the landing zone. Touchbacks will be marked at the 30-yard line, and no fair catches will be allowed. In the event a team wants to attempt an onside kick, it will have to inform officials of its intent and would then be allowed to use the NFL's traditional formation. No surprise onside kicks will be allowed.
March 26, 20241 yr comment_692139 Really they just need to get rid of kickoffs, you win the coin flip and either you take the ball or let the other team take the ball, through the years they have neurtered the kickoffs for safety reasons and that's fair but there is no reason for kickoffs anymore.

It's weird that they've done everything to the kickoff to eliminate it except get rid of it. The kickoff is already dead in the NFL and yet it's still around like a relic. December 22, 2024Dec 22 comment_741410 Jayden Daniels just had his guaranteed rookie of the year winner moment vs the eagles.
December 22, 2024Dec 22 comment_741412 Eagles are pretenders without Hurts, can't lose a game when you get 5 turnovers doesn't matter who your qb is. Also their kicker can barely hit a 50 yarder when other kickers are pounding them thru at 55 plus.
January 12Jan 12 comment_742310 Watching the Eagles Packers game, starts with a vicious and I mean vicious head shot commentator says great hit on the ball. Not what I saw.
January 13Jan 13 comment_742323 No upsets so far. Would Tampa over Washington be one? Maybe records wise but Tampa win their crappy division

The W/L is a deceiving stat for QB's sometimes... it's similar to the Mike Bishop 12-1 or whatever he was that one season. Darnold is a career back up and not a guy that is going to turn it around like a Baker Mayfield.

Good on him and many years of happy retirement. Oh and it feels weird that Tom Clements is 71, it feels like yesterday where him and Huff were the best 2 qb tandem in the league ever and continue to hold that mantel today imo.
