I guess we should've kept Chris Garrett around.

My thought was Boyd, until I saw Mallett on here. Boyd wouldn't make sense as he can't pass block with a damn, and our line is mediocre at best.

 

Is Simpson's injury worse than feared if we are bringing in a veteran back?

Not sure how long Simpson is signed for .. but maybe a sign the club feels he won't be back next season?

Unfortunately, I am going to have to guess Cory Boyd, based on his evasive replies on his Twitter. I hope I am wrong, but...he's not exactly denying it. I am a little puzzled by this move since it shows no confidence in Volny at all, and none in Ford unless he is indeed injured. Our areas of need are obvious to me anyone?? O-line and Secondary first. QB situation second. Depth 3rd. 

If it is in fact Boyd. I hope they got him cheap. I think this is another band aid on a fractured leg at this point.
