  • Don’t know where to put this, but I went and watched Wolitarsky’s set at Earl’s tonight. First off, he was actually super good. Second, him and Streveler were super stoked that my buddy Ray

  • Way better than letting him get on the plane, punching the pilots, throwing Nichols' comfort squirrel out the window which makes the plane depressurize and 12 players get sucked out before Bryant plug

  • do or die

Your suggestion is currently under advisement. Thanks, Mr. Jones.

got popped with the business end of a fork.

My grade ten classmate  got stabbed with a fork, by his grandmother. Quite embarrassing.

Also, glad about the puncture incident, things have been far to collegial at MBB, since Nichols put that discussion to bed.

Why would he not be travelling with the team if he is a backup to Lawler and on the roster? What happens when Lawler gets his leg broken on the first series? Is there a team jet that can fly Matthews in stat?

There are some odd circumstances that have been happening week after week with Matthews IMO.

He was walking up to the plane and then saw them loading the in-flight meals.  Unfortunately they included cutlery (and not just knives and spoons).

He is now taking an uber and will meet the team for the pregame meal.

He is not on the roster. Every week there is one player on the 46 man depth chart who does not dress for the game. If Lawler breaks his leg, even if Matthews was on the sidelines he couldn't play because he is a scratch. If Lawler breaks his leg, Petermann or Walker would go in for him. So there is no need for Matthews to travel with the team.

IIRC we're staying in Ontario for the week. With Matthews not making the flight does that mean he isn't practising this week and not playing again next week or is he flying out after the game?

Said on the 1290 today he will be flying after the game out and meeting the team for practice.

Matthews wouldn't be able to play unless the injury happens before the game.

1. A CFL team will start 7+ import receivers over the course of a year.

2. Matthews can't beat out Lawler right now but I bet he can beat out J. Random Airlift Receiver.

An expensive insurance policy.

It's not expensive when you factor in that Lawler is making league minimum...

So something to consider about Matthews.... He's playing a lot of slot this time right? And he's been a WR the whole time in the CFL previously correct? Now throw in the fact that he was hurt all of training camp this just looks like typical Bombers easing guys in slowly when they have the opportunity to do so. Lawler playing well so don't rock the boat.

I would buy that for sitting him last week but think he's on an "internal" suspension this week. No matter. He's a pro. Teams good. All is well.

We shall see in the next week if there is another chapter to this story.

seeing as Mike Jones the DB on PR can return..and looked good in camp and pre-season next week I would flip him and Humes...and put Matthews in place of Walker and get him involved heavily in the offence...and then see what we have cooking
