Can we kill the Trevor Harris as potential MOP candidate talk?

Edmonton has wins against Toronto(x2), Ottawa (barely), BC(x2), and Montreal (Week 1 Pipkin and barely won at home).

Combined record of their wins 9-25.  No wins vs the West outside of BC (0-3 vs us and Stamps).  No wins against anyone + .500, and beat Montreal before they were Montreal, lost to them in Week 6.

Edmonton is not a good team and Harris is nothing special either.

OB pre-game talk was Harris vs Harris for the MOP at this point, and they all agreed it was Trevor over Andrew right now, but that's purely on stats. Irving said if he gets to 6k passing, it's hard to not give it to him because it's such a rare stat. But you're absolutely right....where the teams records are at in November will have a lot to do with it.

Sean Whyte needs some MOP votes for Edmonton.  He's got all the points.

On the whole 6000 yards in a season should be MOP talk. Let's look at those who have accomplished this.

Flutie 91-MOP

Austin 92-No (Flutie again who only had 5945)

Flutie 93-MOP

Archer 93-No

AC-2004-No, they gave it to Printers

I'm going to say that historically 6000 yards only makes you a lock for MOP if your name is Flutie.

I think if Edmonton finishes 3rd or 4th in the West Harris could have 8000 yards passing and he shouldn't get any MOP votes for the league award, especially with how they are losing games so far by turning the ball over and not scoring TD's.

I wonder which player they are talking about?

*cough*DuronCarter*cough*

The faces on the Lions' website have taken on a whole new meaning now...  Claybrooks eyes closed, Burnham looking down in despair, Reilly's eyes wide with fear, Duron praying no one throws to him and whoever that last guy is
