I'm less pissed about the money and more pissed if I know he's had the playbook.

Wouldn't surprise me if Chris Jones and him had an agreement to mess with things. Wouldn't put it past either of them.

Club should fight for this one, and take him to court and make him pay legal fees.

Durant is a classless piece of ****. Guy talks in his media release about his new kid, should realize he's setting a poor example for the kid, unless his goal is to raise a ****** like him. I hope the club sues him and wins the money back and holds his rights in perpetuity just so he can't sign a 1 day deal to retire a Rider.

Sure he will, he'll just wait for the Riders organization to pay for his airfare and accommodations before doing so.....but as long as Chris Jones is in charge I'd bet it doesn't happen.

Is this for real?  He did absolutely nothing to earn that money.  That's like losing your job a pepsi and then robbing coke for 70k.

He was already way overpaid for his performance the past few years in the CFL.

Maybe. I mean perhaps it took him a long time to master the skill. He went to UNC and got a degree in African American studies which is fine in and of itself but given that UNC had a multi year investigation into that program because athletes were taken fake courses in that program or ones where the work was done for them, maybe it took Darian longer than the start of kindergarten to learn how to write his name.

I've always thought of Durant as a POS and while I understood the need for a good backup QB I was never comfortable with the idea of him as a Bomber. Just didn't feel right. Now this. 

I can't help but wonder what, in his mind, did he do for the Bombers that he feels he deserves $70,000 from us. 

Always thought that Durant was about as smart as a bag of hammers but that would be an insult to the hammers, having said that he did fleece the Bombers out of 70k.

Sigh.  Kevin Glenn would look great as a Bomber backup right about now.  Better Qb of the two and by all appearances, an honorable person.
