I think that this is the most powerful reason to like what Walters did.

  • Mini camp invite to the Giants is basically extended to every Canadian draft prospect with a pulse around this time of year.

  • Please no white receivers from Saskatchewan ....

It isn't so much about what we'll go after as WHEN we'll go after them. Gonna take an OL but will it be R1 or R2? And these rankings are always bunkum until we know who's going to the States and will never see the CFL...

Don’t know much about him. Are you thinking to compete with Lafrance or play receiver?

Sounds like he is a bit of a utility guy who can catch and return kicks too.

Alex Taylor is the top RB available in the draft.    Local Winnipeg kid who played St. Vital Mustangs and then went to St. Paul's.    He played on the Provincial team several years.   He then went to Western, where he consistently performed as the top RB in the OAU.    He was a dominant force in the Vanier (154 yards in 26 carries).    He has power/speed/balance.      Had the Bombers not taken LaFrance, I would have been all over them to grab Taylor.    If he's still on the board in the second round, I think he'd be a good pickup.    IIRC, he still has 1 year of CIS eligibility, so they might grab him and wait for next year.   With all these 1 year contracts out there, having depth is good, especially with Normand signing in Edm.

He puts this out so must have some Canadian background

I watched the video but didn’t see anything that would point to him having a Canadian background. Please elaborate.

The player in question put out the video as a high-lite tape for the CFL draft

Thanks. I didn’t click on the video’s title so I didn’t see that.

What makes him Canadian?

His second cousin may have eaten poutine on the same day that he drank a full two-six of 40 creek.  Immediately made him eligible to join the Royal Canadian Legion and therefore, all his relatives eligible for the CFL draft.  Pretty sure that is how several of the "Canadian" starters in this league got their status.

Ben Cahoon was seen tapping Maple Syrup out of a Maple Tree once, so that is how he got his Canadian status.

I thought he just watched a video of that to qualify.
