February 6, 20187 yr comment_317166 I can verify that when I used to play NHL '95 on my Super Nintendo that I was easily able to interchange defense to play on either side and was also able to transition guys like Mario Lemieux to LW with no issues at all. 100% doable!

February 6, 20187 yr comment_317179 It's a massively-overrated-by-fans thing, no question.....guys may have a preference, but they can all play both sides, no problem, otherwise they wouldn't be at the pro level.
February 6, 20187 yr comment_317180 This has come up before. Some people will argue til the're blue in the face that it doesnt matter. But in fact it does matter. There are few players who can play either side and a few that excel on their off-side. But some will tell you it absolutely matters. So in the end, yes it matters. And ultimately, if fans want to discuss it, so be it. It is, after all, a discussion forum. Edited February 6, 20187 yr by The Unknown Poster

February 6, 20187 yr comment_317190 Of course it is preferable to play the hand you like. But if one player is better than the other, you play the better player regardless of hand.
