There was talk of starting the season a lot earlier to allow for two bye weeks for the teams with the intent of cutting down on injuries, but I do not know if anything came of it.

Has it been mentioned anywhere that Foketi re-signed? I think he'll likely be starting somewhere on the OL next season.

I don't think he has re-signed yet, do you have a link?

Hodge had reported that Foketi had re-signed but it was shot down by Darren Cameron.  The article was then updated to say he is close to re-signing.  Haven't seen any updates since.

I saw that first article saying he was signed and assumed it was confirmed.

I think they have until Friday to sign him. 

 

Big add...and 2 years too...Basically has offence solidly back in place...now to just get that one impact receiver...can't emphasize how much continuity counts for especially on an offensive line

I'm honestly a little surprised we brought back both starting tackles. I thought Foketi would be getting one of those jobs.

Why would you upset the apple cart if you don't have to?  With the possibility of Bond being out now you would then have 2 spots to fill on the line, which could lead to problems with cohesion/continuity/consistency right off the back. As it is now we have our entire starting line back from the last 3 games of the year and the play-oof game...so this is good.

Also I'm pretty sure Hardrick wouldn't command huge bucks re-upping yet...have another really strong year or two perhaps then

The season will officially be starting a week earlier next season.  Mid-June will be the first game.  

Expect the schedule out MUCH sooner than in years past.

Its interesting how all of our signings so far besides Jones who is more special teams than D has been O signings. 

Any day now it should be revealed that Hall is gone. 

This is a huge signing, pun intended.

Really happy we're locking up our OL.

I'm kind of surprised he has not been invited to any NFL camps. Or, did I miss something?

Best signing of the off season so far and yes that includes Medlock.
