February 11, 20178 yr comment_248501 So they give Helle 2 goals.... and yet a certain someone would suggest that we win if pavs started...
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248502 if you are referring to me no I don't. If you look at my posts I having been calling for Helle to start for the last four or five games. Edited February 11, 20178 yr by Ducky
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248505 Well I thought the Jets played fairly well, just no finish in front of the Chicago net, Helle for his part played well.
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248506 Thought the vets struggled today. Wheeler was bad. Buff was -5. I know but that's interesting. Perreault. Stafford even Enstrom wasn't good. Perreault has 4 goals. Stafford has less. The difference between winning and losing is these guys scoring more. Kids look spent but try hard. Vets really weren't good tonight. Little is more important to this team than buff and wheeler Edited February 11, 20178 yr by Goalie
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248507 Helle was 912. Pretty good numbers. Several huge saves and really had no chance on all 3.. 3rd one looked weak but on replay buff screens him and it looks like it actually deflects off Buffs ass. I'm not a fan of plus minus buy minus 5 for Buff is brutal
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248509 Buff is being paid 7.5 million dollars, for the way he is playing that is highway robbery, so many minutes such poor play, on the other hand Trouba has become what i thought he would become coming out of Michigan sky is the limit for this guy looks like his head is on straight this year.
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248511 This was the risk on signing Buff.... in hindsight it may have been better to have made that big trade with him last season when he was at his highest value. What concerned me back then and more so now is that his decline will be fast and furious...
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248512 Buff is still good. He's just not as good. He's still in the top 10 of d men scoring in the league Here's more evidence to suggest a coaching change is needed

The brain cramps are concerning but he gets caught floating around in the offence zone to many times in a game this year and doesn't have the energy to get back on d.

He leads the league in ice time. Played almost 29 minutes tonight. Think if you could play him 23 to 25 minutes a night instead he'd have more energy. Really being overplayed this year

February 11, 20178 yr comment_248527 Its basically Liljegren, Valimaki or Callan Foote... not interested in any other defender in this draft
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248529 They're almost identical to when Noel was fired. No forward progress even as the talent increases saying that however, the issue tonight was Crawford was very good, Hawks better team D and turn overs/bad decisions. But okay that way most nights and they win. Perreault looked determined tonight. Thought postma and chiarot were decent. Morrossey is going to be really good Helle was good. As good as he needs to be really.
February 11, 20178 yr comment_248530 TSN had an interesting stat. If you don't count games Helle was pulled, he has a .926. Of course it's taking away his worst games and if you did that with every goalie their stats would improve. But you don't get pulled every game. Only really bad games. If he can cut down on the really bad games, he's a solid goalie.

Bottom line is he let in 3 and Crawford only let in 2 and one was in garbage time. Edited February 11, 20178 yr by Ducky
