TORONTO (November 2, 2016) – The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the team winners for the 2016 Shaw CFL Awards. The award recipients were selected by voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and CFL head coaches. In this first ballot, FRC representatives from each CFL city as well as the respective head coach submitted votes for six categories. Voters were asked to select players from their local CFL club who, through the excellence of their on-field performances, best represent the awards’ titles – Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Canadian Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player, Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Most Outstanding Rookie, and Most Outstanding Special Teams Player. -Medlock a "lock" for league MOST

-Leggett and Loffler legitimate should get some major consideration as well.

With Rainey and Paredes, Medlock might not even make it out of the west, but if he does, I can't see anyone from the east beating him.

Medlock would be our MOP......if it was MVP, then I get Nichols, 'cause QB is everything in the CFL......but it's Outstanding.....and that's Medlock in a runaway.

Medlock, Loffler and Leggett all have legit shots at winning their awards. If Harris had stayed healthy he would have a shot at the MOC too.

Medlock beats Parades in nearly every way and is perfect on converts, while Parades has missed 7 of them.

Rainey's a wild card but I don't think he has been as consistent as Medlock.

Agreed, Nichols as MOP is a bit of a head-scratcher to me. I'm not even convinced he's our MVP.

How would Fantuz ever be a justifiable choice over E-Jax for Eastern MOP?

88 catches, 1225 yards, 10 touchdowns

101 catches, 1059 yards, 5 touchdowns

I know who I'm taking. I mean no offense to Fantuz, but even Nik Lewis is having a more productive year.

Point taken. 7 missed converts and the fact that Medlock also punts gives him an advantage over Paredes.

Rainey's the best returner in the league IMO, so it's big returns vs great consistency. Voters might go with the more exciting guy.

Fogg has a higher punt return avg. Despite having 4 TD called back.

It's Medlock and it's literally not even close.

Could also put Finch ahead of Rainey. Rainey in third in the league in both punt and kick return average.

Harris shoulda been the bombers MOP. This team doesn't do **** without him

Nichols is a nice story but not the team MOP. I'd say Harris but honestly you could put Medlock and Leggett ahead of him too.

Glad to see Jennings got the team nod from the Lions.  He's going to lose out to the robot from Calgary, but he was sure exciting to watch this year, and if he tidies up his game he's a surefire future MOP. 

Great young QB, love to see those guys coming into the league.

Medlock was a money signing. Still laughing at a certain RF Administrator for dumping on the BB posters there for that signing. 

Leggett has a legit shot.

If that was true, sask should have been a lot better. mtl should have been better before going young at qb, ham should be in the basement, and edm should be 2nd in the league not 4th.
