With 9 teams and 18 games there is still no way to do a balanced and fair schedule.  You would play 6 teams twice and two teams 3 times. Someone could play Calgary three times and someone else Montreal three times using this year as an example. 

Plenty of times the two best teams met in the west final.  It's still good football. The Grey Cup is about more than just football, it's a national event.  If we lose that it is just another football game.

Are you recommending three 3-team divisions?  Play outside div 2 and in div 3 times?

Tor, Ott, Mtl - Refurbished Stadiums Division
