Posted October 10, 20168 yr comment_229420 For the first time in 5 years. Exciting time to see how the seeding will play out.
October 10, 20168 yr comment_229423 Its a little sad to be celebrating a playoff birth but after five long years, party time.
October 10, 20168 yr comment_229424 The Bombers should all head for their dressing room with ski goggles and spray each other with champagne (it's the CFL so Baby Duck sparkling wine will have to do). Apparently that's the new norm for making the playoffs. It worked for the Blue Jays!
October 10, 20168 yr comment_229428 We'd never have got there with Willy starting. The Willy backers here can argue otherwise but no way. Nichols doesn't put up stunning numbers like Reilly or BLM but he's steady, efficient, understands LaPo's offense, makes quicker reads & has a quick release thereby avoiding being sacked. Willy holds onto the ball too long trying to make decisions where to throw & panics when the pocket collapses. We saw that all game long today. Edited October 10, 20168 yr by iso_55

But all the so called "intelligent" posters here swore up and down that our oline was the problem and that Willy was far superior to Nichols. Quite frankly, Willy has looked horrid from the very first snap this pre season, and I'm someone who thought he was Ricky Ray lite in 2015. Edited October 11, 20168 yr by Blueandgold

It was a pass but similar to a lateral. The ball was live. Willy panicked. Good thing a surprised Whitaker fell on it. Edited October 11, 20168 yr by iso_55

Good thing they fixed the OL by putting in 3 americans finally right? Cause you're fooling yourself if you think that hasn't changed the complexion of the team immensely.

I know how much people love this argument, but he was signed to a big contract and started five games this year - decisions made by professional "intelligent" football people

You have to look at the big picture.

October 11, 20168 yr comment_229517 Making playoffs: season is already a qualified success. The gravy would be a home playoff game and a trip to the West final for a 1 game shot...
October 11, 20168 yr comment_229521 As the Blue Jays have already proved, it's not how you get there mostly, but that you get there (meaning playoffs). Ask the Red Sox and Rangers how they feel about their tremendous regular seasons right now ;). I'm excited about this team's chances and I think they will tighten up their defensive issues moving forward.
October 11, 20168 yr comment_229529 Finally....geez it's been so long I forgot the feeling...Now to make something of it...Start by hanging another one on the leos this week.

When I saw your post, I remembered seeing that exact thought...from Randy Turner. So, I thought, what a coincidence eh?
October 11, 20168 yr comment_229542 Interesting that in the game the other day, Davis was still ahead of Glenn. Glenn's been here two weeks or so. Makes me think Davis is going to be good.
October 11, 20168 yr comment_229552 Glenn is this season's life insurance (sure he's term and not whole life ), and like all life insurance, the insuree hopes they don't have to use it ...
