Haven't heard it mentioned yet but Justin Medlock now has 48 field goals this year, breaking Troy Westwood's 1992 single season record of 47.

And with 3 games left he needs 12 more to set a new CFL record.

on track to tie it or break it. Kinda hope he does for the coolness. Hes been amazing, one of our best ever cfl FA pick ups.

I've said it from the start. This was one of Winnipeg's BEST offseason moves. Medlock has been money his whole career. It's nearly an automatic three every time he kicks. We haven't this kind of consistency.. Well ever.

His reliability is also one of the reasons fakes like we saw yesterday can be so successful .. he's automatic. Trot him out there, even at 50+, and take the points .. it's what we've done all year.

not sure what other teams offered to get him, but he's worth every penny.  Kyle cemented his job as our GM for years to come with this kind of move.  Let's hope Medlock is our kicker for many Grey Cups to come.

It's an interesting side story to watch these next few weeks.

One thing to keep in mind though is Paredes is 50-56 for FGs so he has the inside track for the season record.

Interesting to note that although Paredes' FG percentage (50-56) his better than Madlock (48-56), Madlock is  27-27 for converts while Paredes is 27-34.

Madlock is perfect for all his FGs inside the 40 (30-30).
