Posted September 24, 20168 yr comment_225937 first star tim flanders. Played the whole game like a man possessed. 11-95 1 td 6 catches for 48 yards second star Denmark, a clutch catch 9-84 1 td. third star Nichols. Put up solid numbers despite a poor start and some funky passes. Gave us a chance to win the game late,27-44 287 2 tds 1 rushing td. HH waggoner had 2 nice tackles on Sts and got the stop on the last kick off that set up calgary deep despite there return team running all over us the whole day. September 25, 20168 yr comment_226030 Goat of the game: Johnny Adams on that fumble "recovery" attempt.
September 25, 20168 yr comment_226032 3 Stars: Denmark - 9 catches and a great TD Leggett - 6 tackles and great coverage taking away a big play late in the 4th Flanders - The 50 yard TD was our only bright spot in the first half. Without it we wouldn't have had any chance. Happy Honker: Burnett - Forced the fumble that got Bass the TD
September 25, 20168 yr comment_226047 No long diatribe on the happy honker today, but would nominate Burnett for that hit that forced the fumble that Bass ran in. Runner-up could be Smith for that great simultaneous catch. But since this is a loss, almost feel like I should name an anti-Happy Honker (Terrible Tooter??, Brutal Blower??? Hapless Honker???), and no doubt it goes to Johnny Adams for his "oh-lay" arm wave on that fumble. Jump on the ball, don't play patty cake with it! Cost us 3 (very valuable, as it turned out) points. And for all those who say too many FGs and not enough TDs, Calgary won because of their 5 FGs today.

Adams' brain cramp likely cost us the game, and may well cost him his starter status.

Paredes hadnt had to kick a 50 going into this game.
