Posted August 27, 20168 yr comment_218645 Missed the Loffler hit on Carter, if anyone has it- I would love to see it.
August 27, 20168 yr comment_218670 Thought he dove st him inbounds. Those calls are iffy in my opinion. I mean ya it was late but loffler was inbounds when he jumped at him. Carter might have been also
August 27, 20168 yr comment_218676 They were both definitely in-bounds when Loffler jumped. I was wondering why Carter didn't get a facemask penalty because it looked to me like he had a pretty good grip on the facemask of the other defender who was there (can't remember who it was).

Just saw it again as I was reading this and he never grabbed the facemask just two straight arms. They usually let that go.

August 27, 20168 yr comment_218703 I think Cox late hit on Mayo later on may have been retribution for that hit.

August 27, 20168 yr comment_218712 I'd rather Loffler play on the edge like that and take those 15 yards every once in a while.
August 27, 20168 yr comment_218715 Loffler's presence makes a huge difference. His big hits are going to make opposition receivers focus more on not getting smeared and less on catching the ball.

Westwood tweeted something to the same effect last night, and I agree....if it's not constant, and it's not costing us games, I'm okay with putting the fear of God into other teams...

Yep, although the first one was quite the sell by Bond. I re-watched it a few times laughing hard at the fact that the refs fell for Bond's act on that one. Edited August 27, 20168 yr by O2L

That shove by Bowman could have broken an egg, it was way worse than a push, it would actually have made Henry Burris proud. Big, bad Travis Bond being man-handled by John Bowman..aka the pusher. Hilarious call by that ref. Tremendous over-reaction by Bowman.
August 27, 20168 yr comment_218752 I'd be so mad if that happened to us but I was laughing my ass off at Bond last night. Give that man an award.
August 28, 20168 yr comment_218871 Knowing the ref was behind him and couldn't see fully what was happening it was a brilliantly ridiculous sell job.

We were both watching the game & we just laughed when Bond looked like he took a punch from Mike Tyson stumbling back with his head tilted & arms flailing. Then the ref threw the flag. True, dat. The veterans are supposed to lead by example, but Bowman and Hebert displayed the discontent within the team.

I would say Johnny Adams also had a hand in that.
August 30, 20168 yr comment_219413 I liked that hit on Carter. It was a penalty for sure. But it seems like once you get into his head his play takes a big drop. Carter has a lot of talent, but he has an even bigger mouth. And it’s just a matter of time before each team takes a shot at shutting it for him.
