Has anyone posted at RF that the investigations aren't finished? They don't seem to know what Lawless said on the radio about the paying players under the table investigation is still ongoing (thanks for posting that here, Mike).

It's a non issue...... handled internally....next question.

There are already quite a few posts on RF saying "the league is bush, i don't watch any other teams, ill quit going to games". Always knew that the Bombers had the most loyal fan base in the CFL but this is just a great reinforcement.

just checked out Pederson's latest blog. First time there, apparently they now have MS Paint and Geocities templates in Saskabush.

dear god my heart stopped for a moment from the flash back that caused.  I honestly hate to see any cfl team run like this, even the riders. Almost as much as i hate every thing pederson says.

Lawless reports several other teams have been fined for the logo infraction in the past.  Im looking forward to Pederson's rant about the CFL conspiracy against all those teams.

The Rider organization is imploding, just as the Bombers did under Kelly, Sleepy Joe Mack,  Burke, etc. They are reaping what they have sown through arrogance and wallowing in their misery says more about those who do than it does about the Riders. The Rider fan base have their share of jackholes but most are pretty much like us here and are mortified and angry. We can either gloat or show some class.

At least Rob Vanstone is a little more balanced in his reporting than Pedersen (although I don't know what he's usually like). Says the $5000 fine was petty, but acknowledges that other teams have been fined for the same thing. About the extra players on the practice squad he says:

"Members of the local media — and this reporter, especially — should be feeling rather sheepish. We all knew that the Roughriders were working out extra players after practice. It happened in front of us every day, while we were waiting for Jones to conduct his daily scrum. One day, I even counted the number of players (at least 20) who were working out after practice. Was anything written? Was anything assigned? Were any questions asked? No. I could have written about it. I could have assigned somebody to write about it. I was a glittering 0-for-2, and guilty of an assumption that business was being conducted as per usual in the CFL."

Wonder of RiderFans will ban him for trolling because of this?
