August 3, 20168 yr comment_213183 Cahoon was born in the US to Canadian parents - that automatically gave him Canadian citizenship. He grew up in Alberta. Under the definition of a non-import at the time he qualified. Under the current definition of a national player there would be no doubt that he would qualify.
