Als About To Drop Willy & Matthews? Manziel Now An Al
I wonder if the Riders are gonna stick Duron on Duke. Get ready to see some mêlée break out if that happens.

Als About To Drop Willy & Matthews? Manziel Now An Al
Well, with this torturous bye week to go through here in Bomber land, at least the Manziel show coming against Hamilton this Friday should provide some entertainment for better or for worse.

Around the League: 2018 Season
I'd be breathing a sigh of relief not to be there, especially with the Bellefeuille offense being run in full force there.

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
But who would the Redblacks think they're replacing him with?

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
We don't even know if Franklin is done in TO yet. Perhaps Trestman just wanted to see if MBT brought anything to the table like the Als were seeing with Adams this last game. My guess is he'll be starting at least one more game in Toronto because as I said, I really think the Argos problem is their OL right now is just about as bad as MTLs and they lack efficient weapons. I just don't see MBT making much difference really, but who knows. Ottawa's defense just might crap the bed this week.

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Yeah I'm a bit shocked they cut Franklin's rope that short. I get that he had a rough two weeks and all, but I really think you gotta show a little more patience with a young guy. Not to mention his OL is in some rough shape without Van Zyl and I really think Toronto just needs to add some more weapons to their arsenal. SJ Green is getting old and Wilder can't do it all himself.

Redblacks @ Tiger Cats
That's another befuddling thing? How do you keep racking up those passing yards with hardly any TDs to show for?

Redblacks @ Tiger Cats
I am just beyond befuddled how that division just took the last two Grey Cups. If they take em this year ... Ohh god help us football is whack.
-
Redblacks @ Tiger Cats
For what? Thought they were all giddy for fleecing the Als with Manziel. Plus, they're what, tied for first in the east? In that crappy division, it'd be foolish for knives to sharpen period other than over Kavis Reed's head in MTL.

Me either, but I think now I'm ready to see this team knock CGY down. Bout time we went beyond beating the struggling teams and take down the elites.

Well he is getting up there in age so ...

Game Day Thread- Week Seven: Toronto @ Winnipeg July 27, 2018
Yeah, had it been helmet to helmet or something cheap like that, I'd have agreed with the call. But a collision like that ... I don't like flagging it. Big hits are part of football and those who don't like them should just stop watching the game.

Yeah, glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I mean, the score speaks for itself with our guys up by 15, but I feel offenses in the CFL are already getting a crazy amount of advantages, and these handicaps being put on defenses have to stop.

Doesn't matter, he should be fired regardless.

Well, 2 questions loom tonight ... 1. Has the Argos defense after getting shredded by Nichols and Harris last week taken too much of a psychological fall that they feel too overpowered to stop us? Or have they come out with a brand new plan? 2. Will James Franklin be improved in accuracy this week? Or shall he once again make the awful Richie Hall look like a genius?

This, and it's why I don't like the OL argument completely when the pressure is coming from extra blitzes. It was either Drew Willy holding onto the ball too long when facing these blitzes on our team, or Bellefeuille having badly designed outlets that prevented him or his backups from having adequate hot reads in our case. The Als offense looked like a carbon copy of this last night with a QB who could be effective when given a little time to run around and chuck it downfield, but no trigger pulling on short routes. No adjustments made by either QB or play caller. OL is important, but it's only part of the equation.

Yeah but the Esks were bringing extra men on those blitzes. Should've meant open windows or been something that if the Als offense had safety valves for could've been counteracted. There's a reason teams are hesitant to bring those kind of blitzes against Lapolice, and it's why his haters should shutup once and for all.

My problem with Adams is he only seems comfortable when he runs a rollout and finds something downfield. He doesn't seem to have the quick release factor that Nichols and Streveler have, and it seems he's not too comfortable firing the hard slant passes against the blitz. Although maybe Khari/Sherman are to blame for that in part for using Bellefeuilles play book. Who knows.
