Both teams in relative free fall near the end of the season. Think it's going to be kind of an ugly show for offenses with both teams needing their defenses and special teams to make the difference. Going to give the edge to BC because I believe Lulay is ready for this and more capable than the fake QB on the other side.

You can slow down the blitz sometimes with play action. I believe the Riders defensive front is vulnerable to it. Man I am jumping up and down wanting to beat down the Riders right now.

Well, not to let him off the hook for those calls, but I believe in the first one Medlock may have lobbied him a little to let him kick it? Yes he should have said no and is still responsible for not getting a better chance at converting a third and short, but Medlock seemed to be unshy about doing it either. Now the second one in the fake punt, not good either and he shouldn't have done it at that point in the game. But Hall and his defense had been doing an awful job all year, and I probably would have been likely to take a few 3rd down gambles having no confidence in them. The way I see it, so long as our defense keeps doing its job including on Sunday and forces turnovers, I believe MOS will not feel the need to call up ST gambles.

And the defense has figured out how to overcome the soft scheme.

I like the idea of looking to get a deep bomb on the first play through play action and taking a one on one shot to Darvin. Just use your eyes to move Ed Gainey over and allow Adams to race down the sideline.

Meantime, wonder if Lapo will look to put them on their heels early with the deep ball to Darvin again, or if he'll look to work his way down the field using his infamous screens on the first series.
