This is getting off topic but if we put in Timothy Flanders who do we take off our roster?

I'm not ready to throw Bowman under the bus. He has been our least productive starting receiver thus far, but do we know for sure that he hasn't opened up room for other receivers to get open? Do we know what his blocking on runs and sweeps has been like? Maybe he is doing what is asked of him. Now I do admit I would have liked to see more effort on that end zone toss, but I think his production will come.

We'll never know, but I doubt it. Nichols is our starter and gives us the best chance to win. But I think we have the best QB combo in the league...

Expect a slow start from Nichols. His timing will be off somewhat. I think Lapo will call lots of short passes to receivers and dumps to Harris with some running plays mixed in. Longer passes in 2nd half as Nichols gets comfortable.

That's why I love listening to Rider post game shows when they lose. Unfortunately, the Riders win tonight and now I'm depressed!

I'm mad. Mad because our defense looked so bad against this same Hamilton squad last week. Could someone please send this game film to OShea and Ritchie. Seriously, they need to see that it is possible to play a tight defense.

Boy, some of Masolis passes are not very accurate tonight...Riders aren't giving that 10 yard cushion like last week (against the Bombers).

By good defense...do you mean Saskatchewan or Hamilton...cause both those defenses look way better that ours tonight

I got the joke...and yeah, as soon as a brace was mentioned I thought of Brock too... Anyway, wearing a brace after a knee injury is kind of standard practice.

Great news if Matt is back!!

Hmmm. I thought just maybe the Bombers would keep him on injury list for 6 games just to save cap space...but then again having him out there gives us a better chance at a win and winning sells tickets!

One of the Winnipeg media reported that Lapo was asked to interview for a head coaching job in the off season (I assume that's Montreal). He declined. I know it was only for an interview but Lapo is highly thought of through out the league.

Don't know what to expect with B.C., but they are beatable. If I was B.C. I would do the same thing as Hamilton did...maximum protection, short passes all day. No reason to think we will adjust. I think we have the players on D to compete, but will they be given the ability to do so? B.C. offense likes to go deep, so that might play to our strengths.

If Hamilton can go from being 0 - 9 last season to being the best team in the East just by making a few changes....well, that just shows how quick you can turn a team around. I think our offense will be fine with Lapo, Streveler and Nicholls but our defense needs a few changes. But the question(s) remain: what changes need to made, and will we have the guts to make them?

It is were not for some bad dropped passes by Hamilton receivers, this game would be WAY worse.

Hate to say it...but judging by how he looks tonight it reminds me of a few years ago when Drew Willy went on a run...and then... Yikes!

Apparently he had opportunities to leave this off season, but chose the stability of Winnipeg.

Yeah. Still be interesting to see how Franklin does. Not sure he has as good of weapons as he had in Edmonton.
