Hamilton to Calgary, Hamilton i believe is an alberta born player, To me this is the bruins trying to move up to 3 to take Hanifin and I'd be surprised if that's not what their intentions are here, hanifin i believe is a boston kid, played at boston college at least and moving Hamilton opens up a spot and also gives them more picks to dangle to arizona for 3. The funny thing is tho, Hanifin and those guys could fall, maybe as far as 6 or 7... so i'm not sure why a team would want to trade up to 3 to get him, especially if it's an overpayment... I think the Jets are out of the race and i'd be surprised if they moved to 3, strange things have happened today but that would be crazy if they did.. I don't think they have, well they have the pieces but i'm not sure they are willing to give it up... or if they can compete with the likes of Boston now and Columbus even. Strome makes no sense. He's a center. Little Scheif Lowry copp. No spot. Marner can play RW. Seriously if they gave up both picks plus Burmistrov for 3 and took strome that'd be awful but there's no doubt it's for one of the 3 d men.

All players go through slumps. Frolik is a good example of that. If stafford signs and scores 20 send ehlers puts up let's just be conservative and say 15 but probably more what's the worry.

I'm not sure it's hanifin the jets want. I think it's either provorov or marner and possibly werenski from Michigan. They only spoke to hanifin at the combine not in Florida

What might be troubling for the als is if their D isn't as good. Had a chance to stop Ottawa on the last drive but failed. If Montreal d sucks that while team will. 9-9 was because of their d last year.

We traded 2 late picks for Frolik. 2 guys who seemed to have been busts. We basically got him for nothing and now probably lose him for nothing but such is life. Frolik isn't the difference between making the playoffs this year or not.

How often do teams who are in the playoffs hunt trade guys at the deadline? They don't. Jets were in the hunt. Probably had a wild card spot. No way you trade a player just cuz he's a fa. What message would that send to a playoff bound team.
