Calgary doesn't seem to let 'personal conduct' get in the way of talent at the draft... D'Aguilar, Smith, Durant - these are top talents that fell to Calgary because of 'issues'... Huff is confident enough in his culture to draft these guys They have a pretty clear strategy - if there's a standout talent, trade up to go after him, other take BPA and gamble on BPA/NFL type in the third round or third pick I can't explain Ameet Pall of course, ha. Mack, I think, tried this strategy but just couldn't quite succeed D'Aguilar is nothing special. Not sure who smith is and Durant has done nothing so far. Should probably use better examples cuz really those are 3 special teams guys right now and that's about it.

Just saying but Montreal also beat Hamilton earlier in the season with Higgins as coach. Guess it tells you its not as much about the coaching as it is about the players on the field. Als regardless who tge coach is own the ticats. 2 of 3 ticat losses are to the als 2 of 4 als wins are against the ticats

Can you even compare the CAL Murphy Era to today. The rules have changed. The game has too. Not sure if bringing up those bomber teams of the past has relevance to the cfl of today. Different time and Era really.

A good oline is better than a good d line. Montreal looked very good tonight. That D has always been good and the O looked much better. Ticats D line looked gassed on the als winning fg drive

Hindsight is interesting but I'm sure ppl would have been more pissed if we took one of the redshirt NCAA guys. Jones was never an option it sounded like and regardless if we took him wouldn't be on the team right now anyways. Not sure who the 6th is? Bergman who was taken late in the draft? Albright? Not disagreeing with this at all .. wasn't the best draft class all around .. but given that we didn't hit on a single player (outside Fitzgerald who played a handful of snaps for us) .. it's particularly painful. Yeah, you always wanna try to get at least 1 guy hopefully more who pans out, that draft was certainly not one of those ones that's for sure. However with that being said, IF IF IF Mulumba say comes north next year or the year after and is a difference maker, well... who knows, Bilukidi too. Those 2 could change things really, not expecting them anytime soon tho.

I think SASK beats ottawa this week for some reason. Just something about that game screams SASK is gonna win to me... I also have a crazy feeling about us beating the Stamps this week too tho. Not sure why, just think we match up well against them.. Kind of kept them in check last time we played them, a few special teams errors cost us the game, don't think that happens this week.

Just a simple question.... at what point do you consider trading the rights of Bilukidi or Mulumba? and what would they get you in return? Would say BC have interest in a westerman for Bilukidi swap? Maybe we add a late pick but... maybe we don't.

Simmons just signed, he won't be playing lots this week if at all, O'shea said he's gotta work for a special teams spot this week, He might get on the roster but.. I doubt he'd play much D, i mean, takes time to learn a new system really... Man, Still get that Dude is gonna be a huge bust for us feeling about Simmons when he does finally play...

Gaydosh was considered a CFL sure thing at the time...that's why the Bombers tried to trade up to number one. But.. he signed with Carolina and spent some time there for a while, he didn't come up to the CFL for another year... There were 3 DL/DE types with NFL deals or try outs at the time of the CFL draft i thought or were rumored to be getting them... Gaydosh,Mulumba and S Charles. All were rumored to and or were already signed to NFL deals at the time of the draft... Isn't this part of the reason why the moved the CFL draft back a bit? So CFL teams know for sure pretty much which guys have NFL offers and which don't.

That whole draft was pretty weak really...

First thing i thought of with Picard being MIA was vet day but then i got to thinking he hasn't been very good and is making a very large amount of cash so part of me wonders if they are considering releasing him. I doubt it but... Picard has been pretty bad, terrible snaps and has been getting owned 1 on 1 all season long.. wouldn't shock me.
