It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
I guess that's point of Ryan Smith, 23 (rider fans, known never to exaggerate, calling him the next Dressler)... and Demski, 22...

Odds and Sods.....X2 Game, Hamilton at Winnipeg
Brohm gets no love around here. So he must've thrown for 10,000 inaccurate yards at Louisville. Ended up being nominated for a Heisman even though he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Was drafted 56th overall in the NFL draft because he was always overthrowing or underthrowing his receivers who always ran the perfect route and never dropped a catchable ball. What is it that you are seeing about Brohm's "accuracy" that the scouts and coaches at Green Bay and the Bills (and Danny McManus) missed? Brohm's college stats mean he gets chances to play pro. Other than that, they no longer mean anything. The NFL's already decided they don't want him even as a 3rd string QB because the NFL scouts and coaches found his game wanting. Brohm's our 2nd string QB. His accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. No... thats not the same as 'can't hit the broadside of a barn', nor does it mean his receivers are always running perfect routes. It means he isn't throwing on time on target enough to move up the ranks. Willy's style is similar, but his accuracy is better. I'm no Brohm hater... but I agree completely with this.. As for Marve... I know a lot of technical side of his game leaves a lot to be desired... but man that guy is fun to watch... I realize you can't rely on your legs all the time, but he just finds ways to get it done and I feel like he will find ways to win... I really hope he improves his pocket presence this year and sticks around as the back up next year...

Pick your starting 3 LB's
Am I crazy to think that maybe with a little more seasoning our best LB group might be... Waggoner - Bass - Burnett I just think all 3 of these guys need more CFL experience...

[MERGED] Pre-Season Game 2 (Depth Chart etc)
I tend to think Waggoner might get the call due to versatility and Thomas may be the guy sitting... or Briggs, but I know they like him a lot too... It will be interesting to see the week 1 depth chart... so nice not desperately struggling to find seven nats decent enough to start on game day!

[MERGED] Pre-Season Game 2 (Depth Chart etc)
Injury??... I was actually just thinking the other day... do the Bombers dress Thomas, Westerman and Brown on game days?... will there be any import back ups on the DL?

TC Practice June 17th
This is why I think Neufeld may be expendable after this year if he doesn't prove to be reliable... maybe we draft another OL 9th overall next year... ... and he is a versitile 6th man to replace Neufeld... I see where you're going with that, but I believe we gave up our 1st round pick for Waggoner. Ah yes I forgot... well there is usually still a decent O-lineman at 18... right?

Why do we get stuck playing the Eastern teams during Exhibition season?
We played Calgary in pre-season last year...

Friday's Preseason Game - Tickets?
I'm fairly sure they don't leave until the game is over... I took it a few times over the past two years... Luckily I have a friend who lives off of University, so I can park in his driveway, about a 15 min walk...

Friday's Preseason Game - Tickets?
Sounds like you just did For 4 or 5 of my first years as a ST holder I was in school, and living on my own... so I get the cash crunch... I managed... endzone tickets and sneaking whiskey into every game certainly helped... (which one looks more like a drunk guy face??)

TC Practice June 17th
I think if Neufeld is healthy he can be a very valuable 6th OL based on his versatility... that being said, he's being paid like a starter so if he doesn't prove to be a consistent starter this year I suspect he will not be around in 2016...

TC/Practice June 16th
Fun little personal interview... I wonder if they plan to do a regular feature with different players throughout the year...

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
I think they're going with imports at both tackle spots... so that leaves LaBatte, Watman, Best and Clark ahead of him on the depth chart... they would need 2 injuries for Hinse to start...

Training Camp / Practice - June 15
Should we start a discussion about how deep and insightful the most recent Darren Cameron blog was...

First Cut Down Day - list of players released
Not sure if it's been mentioned... but I'm pretty sure Montreal and Ottawa made their announcements after us... and they're an hour ahead of us!

Who gets the axe by Monday?
Does anyone who actually knows how to evaluate O-linemen... and saw them play... have any thoughts on what makes Griffith better than Everett??

Training Camp / Practice - June 15
That's funny... cuz I asked Bauming about him and Gibson on twitter and Bauming said neither were back at practice... I guess he wasn't paying too much attention... then again, I guess they could both be right... maybe Johnson is back in town but didn't practice today...

Who gets the axe by Monday?
A guy with his physical traits and background never gets to BC, let alone here, without red flags. I had low expectations. Please exfoliate further on that comment? I have no idea if this was a typo, auto-correct, or some weird internet joke that I don't understand... but either way, it made me laugh...

Who gets the axe by Monday?
If Thad Gibson and Derrell Johnson are back I don't think that's necessarily the case... however having both those guys on "personal leave" does make me a little nervous... I don't see it as a fail..We gained Westerman with Ivan Brown rotating in as Canadian which is an up grade over having Thomas and Richardson as a constant rotation and on the field. Thadius Gibson is better than what we had last year, and I think is being under estimated and really being away for birth of a child is hardly concerning. Johnson will be back and is gonna be a stud and We also have Fraser who is a year older, wiser and better and come off the edge..I not too worried especially seeing as we are playing a normal defence and guys who seemed sub par or were looking to be in decline will bounce right back I'm not saying I don't think they'll be back... just "personal leave" means they are gone for some reason that we don't know and we don't know when they'll be back.. that's the reason it makes me a little nervous... when those two are back practising (hopefully this week and in the game Friday) then I'll feel better... I have no issue starting Peach to start the season... but I'd like to know one or both of those guys are around ready to play... Gibson's personal leave was for his girlfriend giving birth. Yeah I heard that... no disrespect to the person who first posted it (possibly you)... but I usually take info found here as rumour over fact...

Agree, those two are a little "shocking"... of course I'm basing that on info I've read and a little bit of TC watching... not actual film watching and this crazy thing called analysis... Also worth noting... sounds like Montreal and Ottawa just made their announcements this morning...

The CFL Explained By An Ignorant American Who Just Skimmed Wikipedia
Such stupid logic. The cubs havent won the WS in over 100 years, so no one cheer for them. Aaannd theyd be gone. Basically every pro sports team would have folded by some point in time if people followed that kind of logic. As for what an american thinks? I dont give half a crap. I follow the cfl because i love the game and i love the blue. Not because it might get bigger or other may come to love it. As much as i want the league to succeed and make money and get better talent, i dont want to see a 15 or 20 team league, or american expansion again. If it stays the way its been the last few years ill be very happy. You took this article waaaaaaay to seriously

Earlier CFL season gaining traction
Last year in Winnipeg on grey cup day it was very cold... probably somewhere in the -20 to -25 range.... then a week later, early December, it was closer to 0... incredibly hit or miss, especially in the prairies...
