I know politicians want to see solid business plans....we went through that with IGF funding and still only realized a small portion from the feds. and that was the U. of Man. portion....As was referenced before in this thread there are many moving pieces involved that have to be addressed before a viable plan can be put forward...Having said that I believe Ambroise should have had at least a credible outline before he went knocking...I'm not privy to the direct meeting he had with the Libs. but it would have been prudent for him to have all of his cards on the table and that would have saved a lot of time ...My deduction from all of this is that govt. is mulling over the facts that they have...It shouldn't take too long to have an answer if the CFL's ask is in the realm of possibility...otherwise I think we would have heard some negativity by now...I hope when all things are worked out that they will see that we are valuable entity in this country and we are recognized for it

So when do the feds. give us an answer?,,,I hope they don't sit on it too long and keep the league guessing....I've found in politics the longer things are drawn out that there's some sort of glitch and more conferencing is needed...Of course they could come out with a flat out 'no' BUT they could also offer some suggestions of their own, that might include some of our well heeled owners like Braley and get some input from him....We're hanging on the ropes guys...maybe we get saved by the bell and Trudeau comes through...Here's hopin'

Is this what our conversation has degenerated to because of that damn covid and no football....then all I have to say is....... drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.......Is there anything on the horizon resembling the CFL////???...I'm getting beyond frustrated

I think we're looking at bridge financing to get us through the episode with this killer....Not going to be easy going by past fed. govt. involvement with our league....They are reluctant with cash going our way, to say the least, BUT we have to give it a shot...Do the feds. see us an integral part of the country and 'different' and unique as some politicians are saying???Guess we're going to find out

We would look like hell if we traded Couture to anyone, after he expressed his desire to play here and re-upped right away....He knows where the winner is and it ain't on the left coast....I'd be very surprised if we dealt him...After saying that Bennett 'MIGHT' still be around because you just know the hunting for good canuck O Line guys is going to be fierce and the priority...most times always is.....But we shall see...Our O Line is very deep and is the best in the land as far as I'm concerned, so I don't see us as in the mix for an offensive line player... A DL hometown boy like Bennett would be a nice project...but a credible db would/could/should also be a consideration

yup....no way was Simon going to beat out the depth at receiver we had back then...Although thinking back I wished there was someway we could've kept him , especially after Arland buggered off to T.O. shortly after his nfl stint...and Geroy hung around the CFL for a very long time......Didn't shake the crystal ball hard enough I guess....

Herb Gray was better than both of those guys as far as talent goes and was one helluva tenacious player on the D and O line.....but yeah Mosca was as mean as they come...especially in the wrestling game

When the true numbers come out, about this covid-19 disease in the states...leagues will have a tough time filling stadiums and arenas...XFL along with other sporting venues will be up against it...I just hope we have this thing beat by the time our league has it's opening day
