  1. ...Who has the 'official' draft order...I'm confused like Mike....What are our pics.???? It's now 2, 11, 15, then nothing in the 3rd. Damn....I thought we were really going to load up. Guess we shouldn't be too greedy but it's been a long time since we could say our cupboards were full. 2, 11 and 15 should net us some excellent talent.

  3. ....granted 'joining a winning org.' is a little different...Inserting the word 'finally' gives it a dif. connotation ...According to Pedersen he did say he was 'glad to be joining a winning org.' Guess he wasn't happy here , obviously, if you believe he requested a trade. Putting it a dif .way How long was he unhappy here, if that's the case and did it affect his play. One has to wonder.
  4. He re-signed with the Bombers twice - he had 2 opportunities to leave between the time we drafted him and now and did not. Throttle back on the conspiracy theories. I guess you missed the little word IF reports are true. I'm not the one writing the bloody reports. Conspiracy...give me a break.?? It's there for you to read and you take it the way you want. Watson re-upped twice sure, but people change and so do circumstances. His latest comment about 'finally being with a 'winning' organization' (we'll see about that) says a lot. Couldn't make us a winner from the tub so things are going to be dif. We'll see.
  5. IF the reports are true and Watson wanted out of here, it'll put a BIG asterisk beside his name for me, regarding his time here in the last little while. Makes me wonder about all the time he spent in the tub. Makes one play and is gonzo for a stretch. If that's the kind of player he is, glad he's with the riders.
  6. They'll be lucky to sign their own fas at present.
  7. Certainly Bomber fans wished Ian all the best but a certain part of them wanted him to remain here. I was one of those. Not a great day for Wild as far as the nfl goes BUT if nothing else shakes out down there...welcome back Ian...
  8. Watson just spent too much time on the sidelines. You could never count on him from game to game, and there was just too much cash tied up in him. Rider fans seemed to like this Bastien kid, although it was just potential they were talking about. I guess we will realize it now, potential that is. I also feel we will not go o line in the first round. Demski maybe??? Guess we'll find out in 12 days. C'mon over Mr. Heenan...like it.
  9. Wright looks like he'll be one to watch come tc. Solid hitter and looks to have a great motor. Looking forward to getting a first hand look at him.
  10. L.A. tried to deal him and we were approached. Don't know if we were that interested in a trade but picking him up on waivers might be an option for us, IF we're that interested. He might/could be an asset in a playoff run.
  11. So Foley is an Argonut once again. Probably doesn't mind the trade, although I don't think he's any better off. Going from the rabid fans in Regina and a lot of rah rah, to back playing in the ghostly silence of the 'Mall' called skydump. He might have preferred making his own choice by waiting till fa but I guess Taman schmoozed him into signing, so he could pull the pin on the trade. Such is the world of football sometimes.
  12. All they need to do is fit him with a banjo and he'll fit right in.
  13. Oh that would be so nice if the talks went completely south and he becomes available. I'm sure a lot of gms are watching this one with interest.
  14. Gonna miss those hard licks he handed out. He sure kept the oppositions offence honest. Some fans were saying he was a 'tweener' and wouldn't last long down there BUT a hard hitting guy like he is should position up somewhere in the nfl. Most likely special teams. Good luck to him and hope he makes lots of coin. IF he doesn't stick, the door is always wide open for him in the Peg.

Totally expected for weeks now. I see Cortez is oc and qbs. coach and Khari has been shifted to receivers coach. Tedford is bringing in all kinds of new people it appears. New blood is always good I guess??
  16. Italics....thought I'd try something dif....And you're right Heenan is very human and a very good canuck o lineman. lol
  17. With regard to Heenan signing here...He works a farm in Sask. and is very family oriented. Moving one province over would be an advantage, other than living in Sask. itself. Seeing as Cal. will most likely not be in the running for an o lineman, we will be certainly a consideration. I think if Heenan doesn't make it in the nfl and Walters can come up with the right cash, I can see Ben being very interested in signing here. We shall see in about 19 days.
  18. FINALLY...had me worried there for awhile. It's all good now...welcome to the Peg Mr. Hall.
  19. B.C. definitely would've been in the market for him IF he was an fa. They would have had to trade to get Tate in any event. Lulay is an uncertain and quite frankly another hit on that injured shoulder and it's all over. Nobody at their no 2 unless Tedford has something in is back pocket. The leos are in a world of hurt at the most important position on the field. Could see them going after Brohm.
  20. Stamps is no SJ Green for starters and coupled with the loss of Carter, don't kid yourself Als. are hurting in the receivers dept. Stamps is nearing the end of his career but is still a competent receiver. However Crompton needs more than just competent. That great o line of the Als. can only keep this guy upright for so long while he searches for an SJ or Carter who won't be there. They could still pick up a good receiver in fa. but even then they'll be hard pressed to stay on top in the east. I see a big turn down in Poppville.
  21. Dressler would be nice but I like this Ellingson guy as well. Great hands and a very deceptive type of receiver. To my recollection he didn't drop too many and can take the hits. I think we'd forget all about Matthews if we could sign him. Dressler is going to cost someone a lot of dough.
  22. Stickem replied to Noeller's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Glad we have both on the club. Solid receivers with good hands. Both are young and neither one of them have reached their true potential. It's a saw-off as far as I'm concerned but this year could see one of them jump ahead. I hope we give each player equal playing time to make a better call. We'll see.
  23. Unlike Labatte, Rorys girlfriend is from the Peg.....good luck on that one.
  24. Who says he was second choice. According to reports he was being considered as an equal talent for the position. Hall will do a heckava good job here.
  25. Hall it is then?? Guess Bene. doesn't like the prairies and would rather stay home unemployed. Kidding aside..apparently he has a relative who is not doing well health wise. Got to give the guy credit IF that's why he's staying home.
