Need an upgrade at D Line, Linebackers, and another big receiver. Gurley may fit the receiver role if he's back for training camp. All of the teams in the playoffs right now are better that we are at these positions. Pressure on the QB and stopping the run seem to be areas where an upgrade could move us to the next level.

Can't help but wonder how many of the losing seasons would be different if we had kept Glenn and developed a QB behind him as a future stater. If we bring in someone, it will be for backup position and that won't be Franklin. With the long leash that Willy had with his struggles. I expect Nichols to return next year.

Im not convinced we've seen Nichols true potential. With the major injuries he's had in the past with Edmonton, I think he's a bit behind the progress that some of the other QBs such as Trevor Harris, BLM, Mike Reilly have had. Let's see what he does in the playoffs before releasing and salivating over another potential f/a QB. This is the first winning record we've had in years with stability at the QB position (minus the first 5 games) Regardless what happens the rest of the season, Nichols deservers a full season as a starter with this team.

I think he's one of the best QB/Receivers in the league. He's exactly what this team has been missing compared to the turnover machines we've had at the QB position the last number of years.

Ha...I thought I was the only one doing this. I bought a new Jersey this year because obviously the others weren't working and I liked the new unis. They gave me a free Westerman 55 T-shirt with the order that I thought turned out to be a lucky charm. I wore it first watching the first Hamilton game that we won, then didn't wear it again until the second edmonton game. (was away at cottage and didn't want to take jersey). Wow...big win. After that I thought I better keep wearing sometimes underneath jersey....through the next 7 games. After Calgary I stopped wearing it. Same problem...what to do?
