Fatty Liver got a reaction from rebusrankin in GDT - WPG @ SSK - P2:Judgment DayCobb is dressing, I can't see Corcoron beating him out, they went out and got him for his versatility, he can play receiver as well as help out on returns. Probably best Corcoron can hope for is beating out Gassama for a PR spot.

Fatty Liver reacted to wbbfan in GDT - WPG @ SSK - P2:Judgment DayKey guys/positions to watch for me :
Gowan/Vaval/parker. Db is deep and we have few openings. Still maybe 1 job up for grabs, and maybe a KR job to be grabbed. Gowan and Vaval look too good to straight cut. Should be a good one.
Shay/Smith should get more reps on D this week, really look forward to seeing more of them.
Ayers. All he does is excel, but it looks like he is up creek with out a paddle roster wise.
Person and Bailey. Person looked good in limited reps last week, Bailey didn't see a ton of snaps both had strong camps. We likely DI one DL, going to be a battle for that spot. Bailey has a big inside track as a 2nd global.
Adams/ woods / pointer. Adams played the best of these 3, and pointer second. Which is a suprise, considering how good woods was last year.
lawson to see how he shakes the rust off, and shout out to 92 davis the kid from the riffles who got a little shine in camp. Only been playing football a couple years but doesn't show it.
Wallace,Vanterpool and randolph. The final shoot out for the starting ol jobs.
white/mitchell and mitchell. The finale of the under whelming wr core position battle. Some one needs to step up, or we need them to any way.
Cooley, the front runner for PS MVP.
Zach and strev, can we get a td or two please?

Fatty Liver got a reaction from BBlink in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadIn an interview yesterday, Novak said he has the option to go back to school if he doesn't make the team this year, but with the recent rule interpretation on draft picks, that doesn't guarantee he'll be invited back next season.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from Tracker in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadTony Jones played well last season, he easily matched Bighill's contribution and transitioned smoothly into the position, I would think MLB is his job till he loses it. Ayers is probably this year's Brian Cole, filling in and bouncing around between positions, but he might not become a starter till next season, great to have a Swiss Army Knife.

Fatty Liver reacted to Arnold_Palmer in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadI’m going to take it as a positive and say there’s going to be a lot of tough decisions to make, and they want to get the young players an extended look.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from Noeller in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadNeed to plan ahead for potential injuries, nothing is as cut and dried as you make it.
Anyone know which players might be missing the game due to injury?

Fatty Liver reacted to wbbfan in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadYeah. Second to injuries, (and rider wins) the thing I hate most in sports is wasted talent. Hope he manages to get him self sorted and back to where he needs to play.
it’s been a lot of adjustments and trials of different combos.
I don’t think Lofton has practiced much at all. Randolph has looked better than Lofton last year though imo. Hes settled into rt nicely.
Vanterpool has taken a nice step forward in general.
Wallace has been good. Saw him get beat off the line couple times but recover really well. Think that’s why he got a run at rt. He’s lost 15-20 from his pro day time and he hasn’t lost strength. Run block wise, he’s our best bet at guard imo. Pass pro, he’s worth growing with at this point.
Eli is pretty much the usual. Much better at C than G, though playing beside the other Cs he was better than with kola.
They really like vibert, and I could see him getting groomed on the pr for a year. Hes a nasty inside guy who can snap a bit and be groomed into a back up C pretty easily. Realistically could be a 6th ol in the league this year from what I’ve seen. Gets off the ball well, strong with a good base, nasty type we always like.
Neuf looks significantly more mobile than he did all of last year. More explosive than he’s been in a while. If he stays healthy he should be as good as you’d hope.
Among the other rookie imps, Atkinson is a throw back body style. He’s thick and strong and significantly heavier than his listed weight. He’s aggressive and got some good attribute's, but he looks like a straight up guard in need of polish. Which doesn’t happen up here.
elsbury has the measurables and it shows on the field, but he’s raw. Reminds me of Randolph last year.
I like Hemphills upside, he’s more polished and probably the best of the zone run blockers among the imports.
I could see us easily keeping 1-2 imp ol on the pr and 1 ni, and probably another guy on the ir.
Best ol imo: Bryant Neuf Eli vanterpool Randolph.
realistically, we are gonna start kola if healthy and I don’t think we have the ratio at this point to go 3 imps with our hurting the d and teams.
Bryant Neuf kola Wallace Randolph with Eli as the 6th is likely.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see more Wallace at RT. I could see a world where we go 4ni ol with vibert on the ar and Wallace at RT easier than I can see us going 4 imp ol. If that happened, it’d be best to slide Neuf to his side to give him more help.
Over all I like our ol crop, could still use more Canadian talent as always, we likely have to face more struggles with change though. Guys needs to gel, and take some lumps as starters at their positions. But that is coming for us no matter what. It’s a good time to move forward with young guys and build in near future replacements for Neuf and Bryant.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from Stickem in GDT 2025 preseason kick offMeh, goes to show Import receivers are more dime a dozen than RB's are now, no need to spend big money in FA to bring in mid-tier receivers cut from other teams when you can raise your own crop. Reward the ones that succeed like Schoen and reward the ones that grow into the role like Myron Mitchell and Wheatfall have. D. Mitchell is getting beat out by multiple contestants, don't expect they should reward him by cutting other players that have out competed and performed better in the limited time allowed for evaluation.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from Noeller in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadPunting from the end zone or deep in their own end is a no win situation, even if the punter boots it 55 yds. it's still likely to end up near the 40 yd. line and points will be given up. In that situation it's easy to blame the punter, but it's 100% the offences fault for not moving the ball out from the shadow of their goalposts.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from Mark H. in GDT 2025 preseason kick offIn the interview he did in the off-season with Ed Tait, Mitchell mentioned he had an alcohol problem in college. He said he put it behind him, but I said the same thing earlier this morning.....so it may not be true at all.

Fatty Liver reacted to wbbfan in GDT 2025 preseason kick offI do agree that imp wr is very talent deep. But it’s still really hit or miss among top talents. I think dbs are next most replaceable after RBs, then wrs. Imp guards would be really high but no one really uses them.
I don’t like the crazy expensive wr core approach. I get keeping a guy like schoen, but after that to sustain success you really gotta find guys cheap and develop them.
He was crazy green and played a lot as a rookie. 2nd year is big for Canadians and wrs. What I saw is he did a fantastic job of playing with in him self and not trying to do too much. Usually you see kids trying to cheat or look down field before the ball arrives. Clercius played like a seasoned pro and did every thing we could want. If he played a premium pass catcher spot he could be a volume guy.
The fact we moved on from woli when he wasn’t even paid that much says a whole lot. Most loves woli.
True, if they think they can turn guys around they will bring them in. There was a Time when Wj was considered problematic.
If they didn’t believe in the guys ability to be a fit in the locker room and market they wouldn’t. They don’t just ignore guys with a past.

Fatty Liver got a reaction from wbbfan in GDT 2025 preseason kick offSome mention in today's presser of Dillon Mitchell admitting he was unprepared coming into TC for whatever reason, that could be the kiss of death on a O'Shea coached team. Don't know if they got that comment from a story in the FP or Sun .
There's also this from AI header.
Dillon Mitchell, in the context of the provided search results, appears to be a football player, specifically a wide receiver, who has been criticized for being unprepared or lacking focus in some games. For example, the Oregon Ducks were criticized for being "unprepared and predictable" in a game, and Dillon Mitchell was singled out as a player who was targeted frequently in that game. Additionally, there's a mention of him being "unorganized," but it's not clear in which context
