Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news

In the spring Walters stated explicitly they are looking for a 3rd down specialist in the mold of Chris Streveler to run special packages, they would not be challenging Dru Brown as the secondary backup. He may have said this to provide Brown with job security so he would agree to hang around at a low wage rather than pursue other opportunities.

Hall's defence really started to come together when he was exempted from having to play any Natl. players in his secondary, that happened the day B.A. replaced Jeft Hecht at Safety.

Bombers vs Als - Canada day weekend edition

A few years before Collaros showed up, Hall's secondary was quite aggressive at causing turnovers and picking balls off, I don't know if it's the personnel or a philosophy change that's hindering this crop of DB's from becoming ball-hawks. Hall is probably coaching more conservatively now, with the idea that the D just needs to hold the fort until the offence gets rolling.

Dumb play call too, rolling out in that direction he was left with few receiver options, he would have been better off putting his head down and running for the first down.

I think you're selling Prukop short, he has excellent athletic abilities and a strong arm, tons of YouTube videos demonstrating that ability. He was much more versatile than McGuire and performed his duties flawlessly in 2022 right up until the G.C. game. If it wasn't for Pigrome, I'd sure want Prukop back.

Disagree, what Campbell achieved in his time with the RB's was fairly impressive, he walked away from the team over disagreements with personnel decisions Marcel Desjardins kept making that continually weakened the team.

Critics Say Submersible Should’ve Been Tested With Poorer Passengers First WASHINGTON—Analyzing the mistakes OceanGate made that led to the vessel’s disappearance, critics told reporters Thursday that the submersible should have been tested with poorer passengers first. “The company skipped the very crucial step of sending five lower-class people to the bottom of the ocean to make sure it was safe enough for the wealthy,” said Otto Scofield, a member of the Marine Technology Society, adding that no one with a net worth above $50,000 should have been in the submersible. “OceanGate made the mistake of not using minimum wage workers and unemployed people on government welfare programs to test the seaworthiness of the craft, which was not billionaire-ready. Running more trials with some homeless people would have made all the difference, and the deaths of several wealthy people could have been prevented.” Scofield continued that using children of color from impoverished families would have been ideal as more would have been able to fit inside the submersible. https://www.theonion.com/critics-say-submersible-should-ve-been-tested-with-poor-1850566314

I wonder about that too, Western world was in a panic during the Cuban Missile Crisis and completely ignores the threat of nuclear attack nowadays. I guess in the end it really doesn't make any difference if we worry, or prepare for it or not, nothing nobody can do.

Can't find the stats. for the home loss to the Als last season, but I think it was similar to the last game were the O-line had trouble protecting Zach and they were unable to sustain drives. Ultimately everyone blamed the loss on Leggs but in reality the game should never have come down to relying on a FG to salvage a win.

I had the impression he was a decent game manager, but he looked worse than I remembered. Ti-Cats may soon be desperate to improve at multiple positions, Walters should be able to make something happen that could benefit both clubs. Maybe re-trade Lawrence?

Game Day Thread - Lions @ Bombers. Week 3

Look at all the changes in DB personnel they've made in the last few years, it's almost continual. The coaching staff seems to fully understand the benefits of continuity along the O-line and within the receiver group, why is the secondary different? BC just showed what continuity of veteran players in the secondary can provide,
