4 imports on OL this week?
well, if we are playing 3 imports on the OL, 1 import must sit... and it could be Cotton... I dont think Anderson, Unamba, Stoudermire, Kuale/Kromah will sit. IMO shouldn't be sitting Sears if he's healthy and they shouldn't be going into the game with out a backup for Grigsby, re: Cotton. Can't quite figure out why they would dress Unamba, other than special teams what does he do? I suspect the RR may play Messam and Allen and try to run the ball down the BB throat, would love to see Kromah and Kuale on the field at the same time to counteract the running attack.

Chiefs release Weston Dressler(Updated: Now signed by Riders)
Desjardins might last two years as Ottawa's GM but he's going to leave a hell of a mess in his wake.

Dave Ritchie Bill Morton Tony Norman and Jim Heighton going into Blue Bomber Hall of Fame
Even a collection of all Ritchie's quotes would be priceless.

I've searched high and low for recordings of Dave Ritchie interviews and post game comments and haven't been able to find anything. They were priceless, the guy was a card.

You talking about Cal or Dave Ritchie? Imagine how people would freak if Tim Burke had said that and yet with either of the other two it was cause for a good laugh.

http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/ That sucks. Why would O'Shea remove Kromah when the run D looked so good last week? Cuz if you asked O'shea he would say that Kuale has played well this year. Final answer.

No goodwill for Cal Murphy?

Is he out of football now?

Don't hold your breath on this, every team that misses out on Dressler should be very interested in competing for Matthews as well.

Chiefs release Weston Dressler(Updated: Now signed by Riders)
Hard to say for sure. His girlfriend is from Regina so if they are back in Regina I'm sure she wants to be there. Also, the Riders are where he started, who has familiarity and friends with and where he has a tonne of connections already. He definitely won't want to get ripped off but who can blame him? 9 out of 10 CFL players high tail it back to where they came from when they're playing career is over, mostly to be close to family. If Dressler was any kind of College star the business opportunities for him in the N.D. would likely dwarf what could happen for him in Canada especially if he was ever a member of a fraternity. Just look at how far George Bush got in life.

absolutely. you add someone at the level of a Dressler and I'd have no problems calling the Bombers receivers tops in the league. IMO Dressler is over-hyped, over-rated and soon to be over-paid. His biggest season was 2012 when he gained 1,206 yards and most seasons he's right around 1,000 yards. He does not rank with CFL greats such as Steegal, Simon or Allan Pitts. Calling Dressler over rated, and making spelling errors in two out of the three greatest receivers to ever play the game is about all that needs to be said about the above post... Dressler runs fantastic routes, he has deceptive speed, makes catches in traffic, and he runs a tremendous corner route (which Willy happens to LOVE throwing in the endzone). He'd be a great addition to the team. Good catch moderators, you're on the ball!

Patrick Neufeld selling Regina home
Checks with judges...yes, this indeed would be considered irony. The proper, non-Alanis Morrisette kind. What are you referring to?

Argos Release Johnson, Sinkfield and Dwight Anderson
Question is are they clearing the deck for players coming off the injury list or NFL cuts?
-
Argos Release Johnson, Sinkfield and Dwight Anderson
I thought Sinkfeld looked pretty dynamic in the first game against the Bombers but maybe he drops too many passes.

Patrick Neufeld selling Regina home
Condos in my neighbourhood here in Winnipeg are going for 375-425k. Doesn't seem too absurd to me. /shrug Scary, when people begin believing those values are "rational". The poor buggers that buy into that dream will be enslaved by the banks till their dieing days. House of cards.

The receivers aren't even in the top three of Bomber's problem areas this season in fact talent wise as a group I would arguably rate them in the top 2-3 in the league. If the Bombers can get their running game in order I predict Willy will surpass Ray in passing yards this season, it's just a matter of providing him with a few seconds more to progress through his reads.

Not odd, clearly doesn't meet code. Neufeld might be handle that fall but it's going to finish off Granny and her walker.

DeMarco done for the year.
QB's are starting to drop like flies all of a sudden. Collaros, Lefevour, DeMarco, Durant, Reilly, Glenn....who's next?

Rider billboards
I bet they never expected their BC billboard to garner national attention and they probably had a few of these printed up for every CFL city beforehand.

Alex Hall and Linden Gaydosh released by Panthers
Hall is not lining up anywhere inside the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle and being effective. Pure finesse pass rusher. He's going to get manhandled inside off the snap. Hall is nowhere near the football player a guy like Chick is, he's a specialist. Good point. Regardless of where he lines up I still think Hall would make all his D-line-mates jobs easier by drawing more attention to himself.
- Green is the new Orange?

Alex Hall and Linden Gaydosh released by Panthers
Elfrid Payton? When did he play for Etch? Montford's only 'bad' year was with Toronto... except he was still a CFL all-star I think. I was hoping Etcheverry would have learned some humility by now but maybe not. That quote is worrisome - sounds like old Etcheverry blah blah. Funny, both of those players are in the Hall of Fame and Etch couldn't figure out how to use them in his "system".

Alex Hall and Linden Gaydosh released by Panthers
If you notice how Sask. uses Chick they move him all over the place to attain the easiest access to the QB while the other members of his D-line do most of the grunt work. In the end he makes all of his line-mates better, I could see Hall being used in the same way. I think O'Shea's stance is from looking back on the first 9 games and not thinking forward to the next 9 which will be much tougher and require better weaponry.

Sigh...Kelly has proven to be spectacular when used and invisible when not. The priority should not be in replacing him but in how to use him more frequently.
