Who said anything about not continuing to search for them? I'm just suggesting they use a reasonable amount of resources to conduct the search. Given the unforgiving terrain eventually they will be forced to come out of the bush and since they've already been identified as a pair of tall skinny freaks it shouldn't be hard for the public to identify them. Do you think they will intentionally draw attention to themselves by murdering more people? Just because it's become the media "flavour-favourite" of the week is no reason to pour unlimited resources into the search, they certainly have never done that for the 50+ aboriginal women murdered or missing along Northern BC highways. As for the cost accounting, who knows the actual cost? No one will bother keeping track.
