Agree here.Remember with Willy's restructured contract, he got a huge chunk this season in the form of a signing bonus. That counts towards the cap, even if he's injured. What's paying the dollar-for-dollar in excess of the SMS? Riders do that all the time. And even it reach 100k, we dont have a first rounder to give up. If a team goes $100k over the cap, I believe they start to forfeit draft picks.

We know that Willy does not need surgery, so we are really looking at 6-12 weeks (the PCL injury is a 2-8 week recovery period). With Willy's amazing ability to heal fast, and the upcoming bye week, let's say best case scenario is he misses 4-5 games. If we can get 2 wins during that period, we're still in it.

Marve was about a 65% completion percentage in college.

Who knows, with Marve starting, we may discover that we have the next Collaros/Cato.
