Pascucci: Gary Etcheverry Bombers new DC
Tim Tibesar looks like an intriguing candidate. I certainly hope the Etcheverry report is untrue.

CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
I'm pretty sure the change was made after the trade.

CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
I wonder if Walters still trades our 2nd rounder for Neufeld if he knew Coombs and Gill would be eligible this year?
-
CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
How does Gill compare to Jabar Westerman?
-
CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
Yes, Coombs at 2nd overall is way off the board. And what makes you think Goossen will be around in the 2nd round? He's currently projected in the top 5.

CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
Bombers will go OL in the first round. I'd go with Lavertu. Gill is quite interesting though...

CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
I hope we take Lavertu. He's projected as a Center and apparently CFL ready.

Corporate box suites?
How much do the box suites cost per season at IGF? How many seats per suite...I believe 16?

Your expectations for the Bombers in 2014?
if they didn't make a difference why would we even hire for those positions? I mean in terms of who is out there and the difference between them significantly impacting the number if wins. Etch vs Marshall vs Orlondo. I don't see either of those guys making a huge difference in terms of wins/losses.

OL Upgrades
Edem won ROY so he is good. And we have Robertson who can play safety, assuming he recovers from his ACL.
-
OL Upgrades
Never say never... we have holes to fill everywhere - some might be bigger than our OL needs... Walters has already shown that he's big on testing scores... if someone really stands out, we'll go for him Does anyone know if Kruba is draft eligible? I guarantee we draft an OL.
-
OL Upgrades
There is no way we don't take an OL with our first pick in this years Canadian draft. I'm perfectly happy with Neufeld as our 2nd rounder this year.

Your expectations for the Bombers in 2014?
So in your mind who we sign as our DC, OL/DL coach is going to make a big difference to you in terms of your expectations for the Bombers in 2014? Okay

OL Upgrades
The scouting reports on Pierre Lavertu are that he projects as a Centre and that he is "CFL-ready". He may be an option at Centre midway through the season.
-
OL Upgrades
Re-signing Parenteau would definitely be nice, as he can play all 5 positions on the OL. Maybe start him at Centre instead of Sorensen. Would be nice if Pencer could take a big step forward this year. I think a better OL coach, and a mobile QB will make our OL look much better. And I agree, I don't think free agency will do much for our OL, which makes getting Patrick Neufeld last season so huge. We will also get a good OL in this years Canadian draft.

OL Upgrades
Consensus is that the Bombers biggest area in need of improvement, aside from QB is the offensive line. The following are NI's who are currently free agents who I see as upgrades to our OL. Your thoughts on where they'd fit in, and chances the Bombers could actually get them to sign: Josh Bourke (Montreal) Andrew Jones (Toronto) Dimitri Tsoumpas (Calgary) Scott Mitchell (Edmonton) Steve Myddleton (BC)

Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
Reports out of Hamilton are that if Burris doesn't re-sign, Austin is comfortable moving forward with Lefevour as their starter.

Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
I do remember seeing where it was written the order of interest in QBs by the Bombers and it was : 1) Collaros 2) Burris 3) Willy Seeing it written in a message forum and Walters actually saying it are two very different things.
-
Your expectations for the Bombers in 2014?
It's easy to make reasonable assumptions. Most of our coaching staff is set. We will have one of Collaros, Willy or Burris at QB. Likely sign a few free agents and bring in some new bodies from down south to compete. Looks like everyone wants to be difficult here so feel free to lock this thread.

Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
I thought Walters had hedged his bets by saying we'd be looking at Drew Willy as well?Still, I think some team will cough up a draft pick to talk to Collaros When did Walters say we'd be looking at Drew Willy?Walters hasn't because that would be tampering. Exactly my point.
