Fair enough and I agree with you about earned but in this specific scenario I think it's wise to start him, give him one mulligan.

Really, we've given up on Mason already? If I was the coach which I'm not, I'd start Mason and tell him show me that was an anomaly.

I was at the game and he was really favoring his right (I think but could have been his left) arm. And he was testing it out on the sidelines for strength it seems . So I don't know if that suggests shoulder, forearm other? One could argue he's the best player on this team so hopefully pulling him from the game quite early was precautionary thinking big picture, i.e rather risk losing to Edmonton than risk losing Mo long term. Just saw the posts above, so all is good.

A suspension and fine imo is an appropriate consequence for his actions. I say 3 games plus maximum fine. That might expedite his idea of altering his tackling technique.

On TSN, he states he is going to change the way he tackles. Wow. Why was he not suspended? Wouldn't this be a good scenario for the new (er) CFL commish to make a statement?

If that's what happens, I don't see that as ugly if they play to their potential. That combo has the makings to be a pretty decent fourth line.

It matters only in the sense of grading out bubble players and to get the team into game mode for the start of the season.

I love sarcasm, I think it's one of the funniest humor forms around but I am constantly learning when to use it and when not to and no where near perfect that's for sure.
