Yup could do but if he does wouldn’t feel like a real ‘I’m retiring as a Winnipeg Jet’.

I really felt/hoped he would retire a Jet. All signs say not. Was my #1 favorite current Jet, gave us a unique identity. Oh well. Nothing lasts forever. He provided us with hours and hours of entertainment not to mention many great meme's. Thank you, it was a great ride. All the best to DB and his family. Now lets free up that cash, strengthen our team and make available #33 to any Jet who wants it.

Fair enough, one way to look at it for sure. However, playing from behind when he was active suggests he was part (not all) of the reason this team was bad. I'm guessing the Argo's will pull the trigger quite quickly if he falters out of the gate.

'Bethel-Thompson did lead the league in 4Q attempts when trailing by 15+ (50). 26/50, 308 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT Down by 9 or more it's still just 75 of his almost 500 attempts'. - DT on Sports Cage I'm not sure being the league leader in 4Q attempts makes your case to be the starter.

Will be interesting to see how our O redefines itself after losing Lapo, MN and Strev. Any full back QB's available on the market?

Yup fair enough but I do think he needs to own some of the responsibility for the team being in extreme danger of not making the playoffs this year. For example our current crop of D-men. I for one don't think our Head Coach is the primary reason for our current predicament. However I do recognize that sometimes a coaching change can be the jolt that is needed whether coaching is the primary problem or not.

Sharks GM Doug Wilson given a vote of confidence and Gerard Gallant fired on a feeling. Two different positions I know but fascinating how teams take different approaches to hiring and firing.

I find it interesting that some posters here claimed pretty confidently that Collaros was just a rental and he was good as gone to the Argoblows at season end. My guess is Collaros has a warm spot for our organization in giving him the shot he needed that is competing with Pinball's smile and motivational speeches.

If the Jets end up missing the playoffs this year and knowing that players, coaches and injuries will share the blame, how much can be distributed to Chevy?

I'm also thinking the firing of Gallant will make some existing coaches nervous not in general but specifically that Gallant will replace them.
