Game 39 : @Hooked On A Mile High Feeling
We have 60 more penalty minutes than the Avs do to date. Stay out of the box. When did Blackwood become a great goaltender? Don’t remember him being elite or was it a porous D he use to play behind? Be nice if Comrie could steal us a W or at least let one in fewer than Blackwood and inject a bit more confidence in him being a legitimate back up goalie to the best goalie in the league. He hasn’t seen a W lately.

Game 38 : Crashville
This example falls under my category positioning.

Random Jets News
The funny thing is we get a hard time from other fans saying without Helle Jets are bottom feeders completely ignoring the fact we could use the same argument with their teams best players. It’s laughable. We invested in goaltending, other teams chose to invest in other areas. That’s what GM’s are paid to do and see where the chips fall from their decisions.

Game 38 : Crashville
Stanley is gradually, slowly getting better, making some smart plays when there’s limited pressure, he’s a big body with a physical presence the Jets need on D but, and there’s always a but especially here with this player, teams are exposing his lack of speed and his slowness to react to a play unfolding (especially when he is on the pk). His inability to consistently box out his man is troubling, his knowing when to pinch and when not to, his positioning all need vast improvement to play at this level. You’re never comfortable watching him when teams are forechecking and applying pressure.

Ok didn’t know that. Now I know. Liked what I saw.

Game 38 : Crashville
Im liking these Pred commentators. Not over the top homers, balanced coverage, good insights.

Game 38 : Crashville
Watching the Pred commentators do their thing among the Jet fans I’m reminded yet again how some human beings are so drawn to stand, gawk and/or do unusual things at television cameras. I find it funny yet depressing all at the same time.

Game 38 : Crashville
Exactly the game the Preds want especially on the road. Preds playing an obvious pick, no call. Just be consistent then that’s all I ask.
-
Game 38 : Crashville
Ehlers was upset on an apparent no call on him as well that I didn’t see but of course the Pred broadcast doesn’t give us a reply (rolly eye).

Game 38 : Crashville
Jets pk looking like it’s employing more the passive collapsed box. Yuck.

Game 38 : Crashville
It’s going to be good to have Samberg back soon. He was coming into his own before he got hurt.

Game 38 : Crashville
Just when I think the hate I have on for the Wild and the Leafs can’t be matched, along comes Nashville. Let’s remind them today that they can’t buy a Stanley Cup.

World Juniors 2024-25
Nope I give Latvia some credit. They came in with a game plan, neutralized the middle, sticks and bodies in the shooting lanes, made good on their few offensive chances on the PP, got great goaltending, never gave up resulting in a win.

World Juniors 2024-25
Great game plan and well executed by the Latvians. Canada had no real answer. They were celebrating like they won the tournament, which in a way this was their superbowl win. Imagine if they could now knock off the Americans. Wow. Don’t see it happening but also didn’t see them beating Canada.

Ryan Hartman who?

Game 35 : Ryan Hartman’s Winter Solstice
That was one of the best period intermissions I’ve seen in the NHL. CFL, please take note in how to do a professional intermission.

Game 35 : Ryan Hartman’s Winter Solstice
Rick Bowness is looking really good. Seems not having the high pressure of professional coaching is doing well for him.

Game 35 : Ryan Hartman’s Winter Solstice
Man I dislike the Wild. What a rivalry. A bit of a playoff feel to this game.

2024/2025 CFL (non-Bomber) Off-Season Thread
Yup, he just seems so easy to scheme against as an offense where 80% - 90% of the time he’s being effectively neutralized but all the attention is on the 10% - 20% where he’s sacking the qb.

For sure I agree NR showed his true colors standing on the sidelines while VaJ did his thing but to my untrained eyes on MB, what an overspend.
