  1. If that's the case this boggles my mind. If he's hurt and well below being 100%, play a pressbox guy who is 100%. Team first.

Grotesque. MG portays himself as protecting the sanctity of the DOJ and what's it's role is, his naivety or whatever is happening here is maddening. Has he not been paying attention or is there something more going on here. Meanwhile once the Q's get in, the DOJ becomes the gestapo, new 'rules' folks.

Merrick Garland choosing not to indict Mark Meadows is a joke. So now let’s go thru all indictments handed down to people with no political power or influence indicted on similar or less things and ask how is Justice blind again or how is no one is above the law again?

I especially liked his comment when someone commented that they hoped these firearms weren't loaded, he replied that this is his house and he can do anything in his house.
  5. What do the Jets get if the Rangers make it to the finals? 🙂
  6. Got me. Yup growing up only cheered for the Expos (Tim Wallach/Tim Raines/Andre Dawson/Gary Carter/Moises Alou/Pedro Martinez etc etc) hated every other MLB Team as Winnipeg obviously didn't have a MLB team. Hated when they left Montreal, lost interest right after that. Oh yea really really hate Rick Monday.
  7. My problem being a hardcore Winnipeg Jets fan (Same with the Bombers) is under no circumstances would I ever cheer for another team. I enjoy watching certain players from other teams but I have absolutely no connection to any other team, never will. The Rangers did though convince me that pulling (much different than cheering) for them for a specific reason and then hating them right after is allowable.

That was powerfully unsettling. I could hardly make it thru.

Reasonable question along with many other reasonable questions posed that will never receive reasonable factual answers/discussions/debates from wingnuts. All you will hear is 'Don't politicize this, no amount of gun control would have prevented these tragedies, less Government, can't legislate against evil, these people ae psychopaths, guns don't kill people, people kill people, can't punish responsible gun owners, if they take away our guns, it won't stop there, my rights don't stop at your fears, it is our constitutional right to bear arms, harden schools by having less doors to enter, more guns and training for good guys/teachers, better mental health resources and of course lifting people up with our thoughts and prayers and if you don't like any of this you obviously hate America' said over and over again completely ignoring and/or not understanding the reality of what's really happening and ignoring and/or not understanding the complexities involved when coming up with actual tangible impactful solutions. I could give a flying F on what people's politics are, lets just figure out how to ensure children and adults have some level of confidence they will be safe at home, work, school and in the public.

It’s not directly relevant to this and all the complexities involved in how our responsibility to one another works but this quote from Tupac Shakur has always stuck with me: ’Just because you lost me as a friend, doesn’t mean you gained me as an enemy. I’m bigger than that, I still wanna see you eat, just not at my table.’

So the logic is these children and their teachers trapped in these two adjoining rooms this murderer barricaded them in had to be sacrificed for the greater good, i.e., any children and teachers hiding in other rooms in the school? What in actual F.
  12. Could you please let the Toronto media know stat.

If only this was not true I'd laugh.
  14. If they indeed are, I hate them even more now.

Majority of US citizens: 'Another senseless mass murder of children and their teachers, we need to do something about access to guns! US Senator response, 'Hey don't make this political'. FFS
  16. It just seems this year more so than previous years how regular season success guarantees you nothing other than receiving a ticket to enter the contest.
  17. Like Hawerchuk banking it off MacLeans body parts for goals. Well maybe not that bad.
  18. Wouldn't fluff coverage be met by fluff routes?

Wingnuts new tag line: you can’t legislate evil.
  20. HardCoreBlue replied to Rich's post in a topic in General Discussion
This is so predictable. The solution to guns is more guns. Ffs.
  21. Not the only thing but maybe the allure of coaching a Canadian team might draw BT here?

Has Rittenhouse visited him in jail yet?
  23. Out of the 32 NHL teams if you took out the one best player from each team and punted them to the sideline the Edmonton Oilers would be the most negatively impacted. Connor McDavid is unreal. He makes elite NHL defensemen look average.

Elie Honig @eliehonig The justices keep acting more petty, petulant, and political - while continually lecturing us about how dignified and non-political they are. Bingo. Bango. Bongo.
  25. I actually like it when head coaches are compensated more than (most of) the players. I don't know why exactly but it has always been weird to me when players get paid way more than the Head Coach. I get why because it's a business, it's entertainment and you're paying for the on-ice talent but still fells weird. Employee making way more than the person they 'report' to sort of thing. I've wondered now and then if it affects the working relationship at this level.
