Bombers got away with a huge hold on that missed end zone pass to Lawler, but the RTQ makes it a moot point anyway.

They are 7-0 when having more possession time in a game, and in those games their average was 33:55 to 26:05 against. Their one loss they lost time of possession by 39:46 to 20:14, and the only other game they lost the TOP battle was the Calgary win where it was 27:07 to 32:53 against. So far tonight it is essentially dead even (we are down by 4 seconds). Yes we make some big plays, but it is not typically a quick strike offence, and our defence gets the opponents off the field pretty quickly. We’ll see what adjustments are made and if our defence can wear them down.

Bomber game plan is time of possession and attrition. Wear down the other side with run game and punishing D, and then pull away in the second half.

At 8 and 1, I vote for not an issue of concern.

There was a bit of a stir on Twitter during and after the RedBlack-Alouette game. Rod said during a touchdown run that the player ran “unmolested” into the end zone, and people started clutching their pearls, saying it was an insult to those who had suffered child abuse and he should be let go. Wonder if that had anything to do with it?

In your first sentence you say “we don’t have the luxury of developing them” and then in the last sentence you directly contradict it by saying he is still here because on this team “you may have more luxury figuring out potential”. This is the “run out of town” mentality on display a bit. Has he botched his kicking angles so far? Big time. But O’Shea seems to believe it is a correctable mechanical issue. Should have it already been corrected? Well, I think so but I am willing to defer to a professional kicker or a head coach who thinks more time is allowed. And the guy has been here for 3 games. Good luck to you if you ever had a job with a 3 week probationary period, and you were held responsible for the past guy’s mistakes. Let’s face it, after watching Liegghio miss some converts a lot of folks wanted him gone and were calling for the phenom with the big leg “Hakuna Mourtada” but after one miss from Mourtada it was immediately “here we go again, find another guy”. And now folks have revisionist history and wonder if we gave up on Liegghio too quickly, and give him another shot. Like we did with Hajrullahu, or Kamau “Incompleterson” who found his game in Edmonton, or likewise Adarius Bowman, who went from semi-average to the league’s best once he moved on. Brendan LaBatte said of Winnipeg fans after he left “In Saskatchewan they love you win or lose, in Winnipeg they love you win or tie. Well, maybe not tie”. I am not happy with Mourtada, and would hope we have a better option, but yeah 4 weeks seems like a rush to judgment, especially if the guy whose job depends on wins (O’Shea) is prepared to let this play out beyond one month and avoid a revolving door.

It’s a joke. She did those McCain commercials where she wanted to be invited to watch the big game but did not have an invitation, so would bake McCain wedge fries and then show up at the door plate in hand hoping the food would get her in the door. Now she is doing the “Come on!” Gambling site commercials on Sportsnet where everyone is watching TV yelling “Come on!” At the TV screen and then she yells it and they look at her like “who the **** let her in here?”
