Tracker reacted to Bigblue204 in GDT - WPG @ SSK - P2:Judgment DayIt's not looking good

Tracker reacted to Arnold_Palmer in GDT - WPG @ SSK - P2:Judgment DayHis salary is the biggest thing against him. If he’s going to be a 5/6 guy we can’t be paying him to be a 2/3 guy. I feel like we have enough guys that can “get the job done” on the bottom of our depth chart that it’s pretty hard to justify the salary.

Tracker reacted to Noeller in GDT - WPG @ SSK - P2:Judgment DayLooking forward to seeing Strev build on last week and really put together some nice drives. Continue to show that he can be an actual QB and win games for us.
As always, Pre/Reg/Post seasons.... Just don't lose to the ******* Gappers, please......

Tracker reacted to blue85gold in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadI’m not too stressed on the vets staying home. They know exactly what they bring to the table. More time for the rookies to show they can play. Pretty much every team leaves some vets home for the road preseason game.

Tracker reacted to Fatty Liver in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadTony Jones played well last season, he easily matched Bighill's contribution and transitioned smoothly into the position, I would think MLB is his job till he loses it. Ayers is probably this year's Brian Cole, filling in and bouncing around between positions, but he might not become a starter till next season, great to have a Swiss Army Knife.

Tracker reacted to rebusrankin in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadSo if I have it correct
@Booch is going to pull a Tonya Harding on Kolo, so we can get Eli at C.
@wbbfan will do the same to K.Wilson, so that Ayers doesn't get cut.
So who is taking out Jake?
-
Tracker reacted to wbbfan in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadYep.
Ayers is my biggest worry. That kid has soo much potential, work ethic and desire. He makes plays few people in football can pull off. Be it on teams or D. We gotta keep polishing that kid. If he half fulfills what he’s capable of, he’s the best defensive player in the league. Idk how many times we’ve seen guys who are that level of disruptive, but it’s been really rare for us.
-
He has been hanging out at Wheelies watching Kolo hone his craft.

Tracker reacted to wbbfan in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadYeah. Second to injuries, (and rider wins) the thing I hate most in sports is wasted talent. Hope he manages to get him self sorted and back to where he needs to play.
it’s been a lot of adjustments and trials of different combos.
I don’t think Lofton has practiced much at all. Randolph has looked better than Lofton last year though imo. Hes settled into rt nicely.
Vanterpool has taken a nice step forward in general.
Wallace has been good. Saw him get beat off the line couple times but recover really well. Think that’s why he got a run at rt. He’s lost 15-20 from his pro day time and he hasn’t lost strength. Run block wise, he’s our best bet at guard imo. Pass pro, he’s worth growing with at this point.
Eli is pretty much the usual. Much better at C than G, though playing beside the other Cs he was better than with kola.
They really like vibert, and I could see him getting groomed on the pr for a year. Hes a nasty inside guy who can snap a bit and be groomed into a back up C pretty easily. Realistically could be a 6th ol in the league this year from what I’ve seen. Gets off the ball well, strong with a good base, nasty type we always like.
Neuf looks significantly more mobile than he did all of last year. More explosive than he’s been in a while. If he stays healthy he should be as good as you’d hope.
Among the other rookie imps, Atkinson is a throw back body style. He’s thick and strong and significantly heavier than his listed weight. He’s aggressive and got some good attribute's, but he looks like a straight up guard in need of polish. Which doesn’t happen up here.
elsbury has the measurables and it shows on the field, but he’s raw. Reminds me of Randolph last year.
I like Hemphills upside, he’s more polished and probably the best of the zone run blockers among the imports.
I could see us easily keeping 1-2 imp ol on the pr and 1 ni, and probably another guy on the ir.
Best ol imo: Bryant Neuf Eli vanterpool Randolph.
realistically, we are gonna start kola if healthy and I don’t think we have the ratio at this point to go 3 imps with our hurting the d and teams.
Bryant Neuf kola Wallace Randolph with Eli as the 6th is likely.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see more Wallace at RT. I could see a world where we go 4ni ol with vibert on the ar and Wallace at RT easier than I can see us going 4 imp ol. If that happened, it’d be best to slide Neuf to his side to give him more help.
Over all I like our ol crop, could still use more Canadian talent as always, we likely have to face more struggles with change though. Guys needs to gel, and take some lumps as starters at their positions. But that is coming for us no matter what. It’s a good time to move forward with young guys and build in near future replacements for Neuf and Bryant.

Tracker reacted to GCn20 in 2024/2025 CFL (non-Bomber) Off-Season ThreadYep..so was the play of his OL and his OCs playcalling. Certainly not all on Zac.

Tracker reacted to Bubba Zanetti in 2024/2025 CFL (non-Bomber) Off-Season ThreadDear God, i just realized Callaros has not thrown a TD pass in 4 of our last 5 Grey Cups. Christ, if he's even average we would have won 4 in a row. Great now ive made myself sad and angry. Fired myself back up all over again.

Tracker reacted to wbbfan in GDT 2025 preseason kick offI don't think it's anything about butting heads. He was excused for family reasons, though I am wondering if he is going to be up here with us this year or at all now too.

Tracker reacted to Booch in GDT 2025 preseason kick offKey in traffic or with contact not jarring the ball out...guys like him who catch like that just pick ball out of space...its not hitting them...Lawler did it too...rarely seen the ball separated from him when being hit as he caught it...and some catches u were just like...wtf??!?
Haa..big sexy ball grabber

Tracker reacted to 17to85 in GDT 2025 preseason kick offYeah Clercius just looks like a guy that gets it... booch has been beating the drum but the hand catching... that's just amazing. Nothing more frustrating than receivers who catch with their bodies. A big strong dude like clercius just grabbing balls with authority is going to have success. I love wolitarsky but totally OK with them giving clecius the chance. He's done nothing but impress.

Tracker reacted to wbbfan in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadTo be fair we haven’t had much competition at P. Evan’s is ridiculously good though. We drafted him I can’t imagine we won’t play him if he kills it in camp.
Thing is he can kick for 45-50 with drastically better hang time than Sheahan. And with less shanks.
I think Evan’s would have to really crap the bed to not make the team.

Tracker reacted to Brandon in 2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season ThreadMaybe it's selective memory but I always feel like we punt near midfield and somehow the opposition ends up getting it on their own 45ish rather then deeper in their own end. I can't actually remember seeing a Sheehan punt and thinking "wow that was a good deep punt".
