Max Hall arrested for shoplifting and cocaine possession
I bet Max doesn't even know. One thing I've learned from alcoholism & drug addiction that seems to unfortunately run in my family is, some people are born with addictive personalities. I battled my addictions over the years.... I smoked 2 1/2 packs a day for two decades till I quit in 1996 for good. I weighed 310 lbs because I ate like it was my last meal & would snack nightly on chips & french onion dip, nachos, KFC, McDonalds at all hours, mostly at night when my wife was asleep. Then I'd shamefully bag up all the eaten goodies, walk out to the garbage & throw it away thinking she'd never know when she did. I remember asking myself why I did what I did & had no answer. It was like those addictions controlled me as I couldn't control them. And then I'd feel like absolute crap the next day being sick. I drank too much but wouldn't classify myself as an alcoholic but it was close. About the only thing I didn't do was drugs too much... Well, today I weigh 210 lbs, I don't smoke & I only drink occasionally. I haven't been drunk in years... But seeing my dad & uncles battle the bottle & with my demons, I think we were born with addictive personalities... That's my theory anyway. Congratulations on your victories. If you want a clinical description, there are several, but the most common one is that some of us are afflicted with a gnawing sense of incompleteness and inadequacy and come to believe that some action or substance will fill that lack or at least distract us from it.

Max Hall arrested for shoplifting and cocaine possession
Probably because he liked feeling rich, good-looking and bulletproof. No one who hasn't been there can really describe the godlike feeling of euphoria.

Where are the Riders staying?
And is likely headed to behind some.

Where are the Riders staying?
I dont know first hand but imagine the hooker situation is better in Montreal than what we are going to round up here Maybe we could compensate with quantity what we lack in quality. Probably cost us a 24 Oh, you're gonna need more hookers than that.

Scouting, Tweaking or Changing
I think Billikudi is a tackle and I would hope he replaces Bryant Turner. I have not been impressed with him this year. Or any of the D-linemen.

We could take up a collection and do what the Bronfmans did one year when the Esks were in Montreal for the Grey Cup. They rounded up every decent looking hooker in Montreal and delivered free booze to every Esk player's room- probably Schenly's. The Esks players straggled into the stadium late looking like they were partying all night (and they were) and they were trounced.

Scouting, Tweaking or Changing
Be still, my beating heart. Could Christmas come early this year?

Stamps vs. Esks
Eskimo defence looked rather pedestrian. I always thought they were required to play on foot. Still, Edmonton look like they woke the bear up.

Midseason Awards
The only thing that's hard to believe is that we didn't try him at Centre earlier. Morely has been the target of a lot of bile on this forum and I was one of his harshest critics. He has been the steadiest and probably the best O-lineman we've had this year, import or not. That it took six years to realize that this was his natural position says an awful lot about the judgement of O'Shea's predecessors.

Should We Load 8 Or 9 In The Box To Stuff Messam?
And I'll bet that Etch invested heavily in Blackberry stock.

Stamps vs. Esks
I hate the hockey jersey logo on the front look. I don't mind them at all. Simple. Clean. Understated. Not a bad alternate jersey. Way better than most of the other hideous designs.

Depth Chart - Riders @ Bombers
I agree that we are at real risk of getting our butts kicked at the Banjo bowl, which ticks me off because I bought tickets a month ago in a fit of irrational optimism. I suspect that Willy's ankle is worse than the club is letting on, but maybe because he is essentially a pocket passer that won't be too bad, but our O-line, receivers and run defence are very suspect. We may get to see one of our backup QBs in the second half, but O'Shea hasn't done anything like that to date, even last game when Willy was dinged up.

Surely you jest. He's not jesting and his name is not Shirley.

LDC Injuries
We seem to have an inordinate amount of frequent fliers on the injury list.

Should We Load 8 Or 9 In The Box To Stuff Messam?
Its not just the yardage given up- it comes down to giving up the yardage at critical times. Had the yards been gained in the first half when the game was still developing, it would have been a different things altogether, but the yards were gained at the end of the game when it really mattered.

Should We Load 8 Or 9 In The Box To Stuff Messam?
But O'Shea supports his DC completely and fully believes the coaching they are doing will overcome the mistakes being made and there is evidence that backs up this stand. I disagree- there is plenty of evidence from the games against Toronto and Sask . Both teams seemed to know that the Bombers were vulnerable to runs up the middle and saved the ploy until the 4th quarter when the game was on the line. Then they pounded it up the middle, ate up the clock and scored to win the games. There is no reason to believe that Sunday will be any different- if anything, the loss of Wild makes the situation even worse. Kuale is a major downgrade from Wild.

And on a related note Rob- Ford has a new campaign slogan:" I may not be the next mayor of Toronto, but I'll always be 12 steps away."

Royal Blues
I would be very interested to know how much the league put out for the design fees for the ugly creations.

CFL.ca Team names Midseason All-Stars
Our rookie kicker is having a heck of a year and has the field to himself when he performs, but Randle is one of a crowd and gets noticed only when he screws up. He has been more effective than Leggett or Johnson but he's not going to beat out Lirim.

Banjo Bowl
Well, we're not that far away from October 31st.

Curiouser and curiouser...as Alice said

Chris Matthews deleted from Seattle PR
Who says we can't have both? never understood why people think we can only pick up one player I don't know, maybe roster space? They just brought in 3 dlinemen. There's a big difference between brining a guy in for a cup of coffee and one that ends up in the starting lineup, without even getting into cap space and who you cut to make room. Or who suddenly develops a mysterious injury.

Joey Elliott gains another life
I seem to recall that Elliot's problem was that he wouldn't accept direction from the coaches, and given the grade of coaches we had, that may have not been a bad thing. Doug Brown reported that at one point, the defensive coaching was so bad that the D-line and linebackers totally ignored him and decided at the line what they were going to do.

Suber traded to Toronto
What?I dont know if its grammatically correct. Lol.But both players are burried and forgotten and rotting on the depth chart.... well, like dead. lease on life?? I LOLed anyhow.....so great. This part of the thread totally bottled my mind.. That's a mute point. Uhhhhh.. Nooooooo... It's a moo point.. It's like a cow's opinion. It doesn't matter. And if it was a mutt point, the dog wouldn't care.
