Kerry Joseph Joins Riders
I still find it strange that Sunseri fell apart so quickly and thoroughly after looking pretty decent in admittedly limited playing time over the past year. Stranger still that Sask actually thought Sunseri was better than Willy. Neither Taman nor the coaches are stupid yet there they are.

Realistic Changes for Next Year
No chance LaPolice would want to come back to the team that fired him after expecting him to work miracles with a very poor roster.

Realistic Changes for Next Year
The team was doing just fine until reality intruded.

Injury Report (Week 16)
Its going to come down to pure grit. BC is in the driver's seat but they still have to clinch it and a win over the Bombers would do that. The Bombers have a chance to be spoilers if nothing else, but we are going to see if they have given up on the year or not.

Injury Report (Week 16)
Watson ought to take a page from Oakland Raiders' John Matuszak who would have a hospital bed reserved in advance only in Matuszak's case it was for when he went out carousing.

Jon Cornish has strained ACL
Ford might be disqualified for using PEDs.

Jace Daniels
Assuming that we still have sports reporters with strong enough stomachs to continue to attend Bomber practices, we ought to be getting some glowing reports on some of these cannon fodder. So either the newbies are lackluster or no one is keeping an eye on them.

As near as I can tell, none of these have wowed anyone.

Realistic Changes for Next Year
If you're just trying to measure progress then all you can do is look at where they are starting from and gauge whether or not they are headed in the right direction. We should be comparing our team against the other teams in the league this year, not against last years historically horrible team. If we'd gone 1-5 in the first third and 5-1 in the second third, then I'd say we are heading in the right direction and I'd be pretty pumped about our chances of making the playoffs this year. That's not what's happened. We pulled out some late comebacks in the 1st third of the season and we've been heading in the wrong direction since then, culminating in a bad loss to the former worst team in the league. That's way more important than how we look compared to last years losers. Quite frankly, this team isn't much better than last years team. Willy's the biggest difference between 3 and 6 wins and neither record is good enough. No, neither record is good enough. But to say the team isn't better than last year's garbage is ridiculous. Seriously, thats borderline trolling. The team at this point in the season is not much better than the team was last year at the same point, but overall it is better than last year. The biggest difference is that there is reason to hope that the future is brighter with a decent quarterback, better coaching (arguably) and a better GM in Walters than Sleepy Joe.

I agree with the BWAAAA HAAAA HAAAA sentiment. To your panic stations, rider fans!

Losing Interest for this season?
Meh. Who cares about apathy?

Jon Cornish has strained ACL
Naheed Nenshi could rush for 150 yards against the Bombers, so losing Cornish is no big deal for the Stamps.

Realistic Changes for Next Year
I'm not sure if all the problems with the team can be resolved enough between now and next June- there's a lot of them. As has been said ad nauseum, we need to replace all of our import O-linemen with either very good one or decent Canucks. We need a middle linebacker who strikes respect if not fear in opposing running backs and slot backs. We need one of not two import receivers as well as a healthy Nick Moore- Kelly may be one of the receivers we need, but he's going to have to prove it over the next four games or he should be gone. We need either a dominant defensive end and/or tackle, be they homegrown or imported. Despite his flashes of performance, Grigsby sure as spit does not look like the back we need. Etch and whomever is responsible for special teams has to be called in on the carpet and our much-heralded o-line coach has not covered himself in glory either. Bellefeuille cannot be assessed until he has something other than chicken feathers to cook with.

Introduce Yourself
Mathematically, it is still possible for the Bombers to make the playoffs, but only the fans most heavily dabbling in recreational mood-altering substances still believe this is likely to happen. Like last year, we've been in next year country since Labour Day, but some of us are still clinging to our fantasies.

The Bombers Won't Win Again This Season
For the good of the Bomber community you should chain yourself to the bed post on game day it that is all that will make them lose Is this some sort of bondage thing you're suggesting?

Losing Interest for this season?
8 & 10 would have been a successful season, 6 & 12 is not. I was overly optimistic about the club this year, but 6 & 12 is a realistic measure.

EJ Kuale tweet
What da heck is fewq? I'm just speculating, but my guess is that his injury is pretty serious, and that's his reaction. Absolutely- he has acquired a brain injury some time back that halved his IQ and removed the filter between what is left of his brain and his mouth and fingers.

Mike O'Shea's leadership
Is it really calling out a player if the coach says our loud that that we need to be better at stopping the run, running the ball better, protecting the QB better, or catching the ball better? It verges on insulting the intelligence of the fans (and media) when O'Shea says that the team has the talent, but just has to brush up on some of the fundamentals of the game a bit.

Should The Bombers Fix The D Next Week By Having Teague Sherman Spy Reilly Every Down?
I think this has been posed before, but could our shoddy tackling be explained by instructions from Etch to go for the strip rather than wrapping up the player with the ball?

Lions @ Tiger-Cats
And I can win the 649 Lottery if I buy a ticket- the odds are roughly the same.

The Bombers Won't Win Again This Season
I wish there was reason to be optimistic that this edition of the Bombers had the talent and grit to win another game or two this season, but although reality sucks here, it persists. It you look at the other CFL teams, almost all have made moves during the season to bolster the team and improved or plugged holes well as a result, but all we have done is add Stoudemire from Sask's PR. We have been out-played, out-coached and maybe even out-Gm'ed. The teams we are going to have to face are flat-out better than we are, and our players know it. It seems that the only Bomber who is pissed off at the team's performance is Leggett.

Lawless: Bombers need to sign Ben Heenan
I am not a huge Lawless fan but tend to accept that he spoke the truth about Sleepy Joe letting LaBatte slip through his fingers out of apathy, laziness and incompetence. LaBatte has dropped a couple of hints that his departure from Winnipeg was not inevitable but the result of Mack not making much of an effort to re-sign him, and Mack's track record of valuing and assessing Canadian players seems to support Lawless's statements. Mack's only redeeming virtues were the recruiting of US players- he did bring in some good ones, but not remarkably better than say, Shivers. Moreover, Mack never resolved our weakness at quarterback- that was a spectacular failing of his.

The Bombers Won't Win Again This Season
There is little reason for optimism at this point. Willy has been beaten to a pulp, the offensive line is no better and arguably worse, the defence has finally given up trying to win the game, and there is no help on the horizon. Its sad to think that we will probably end the season having won one game in the last three months of the season.

Tackling Defined
The gloom and doom predictions about the effect Etch's schemes would have on the defence have come to pass. I. for one, am sick and tired of the "high risk, high reward" defence which has devolved into "high risk, high loss". Etcheverry is not going to change his philosophy, and if the talent level is not there, neither are the results. O'Shea had better figure out whether or not he wants to live and die with this style of defence.

Mike O'Shea's leadership
There are certain players who, if they see that there is no one behind them as good as they are or better, will simply slack off, and it seems we have some of those on our team.
