Interesting is not how I would describe the looming prospect of the last 8 games. The words I would use would be: depressing, sad, infuriating and even apathetic.

With Burris's very high price, and his tendency to disappear, it wouldn't have taken fans here too long to get down on him. He doesn't perform according to his pay grade although he is having a good year in Ottawa.

The Riders had the ball for 2/3 of the game and only managed two offensive TD's, with the first one coming at the end of the 3rd quarter. The defense did their job. They did get off the field. If you wanna play the what if game: What if special teams hadn't given up a TD and extended a Rider drive by penalty that lead to another What if the Bomber defense scored a TD instead of taking penalties that extended Rider drives leading to another TD If you really want to break it down, the Bomber special teams and defense hurt them more than their futile offense did. If you are drowning with three feet of water over your head, does it really matter which foot of water drowns you? The offense has stunk for the second season now and the defense has been shored up, but the infected teeth remain.

The last post-game interview with O'Shea was the third one this year I listened to, and all were after lop-sided losses. O'Shea has sounded more defensive in each successive interview, but Sunday night he sounded fatalistic and lost as well. If O'Shea is feeling that way, imagine what kind of message is being sent to the players. Time for euthanasia, but if it doesn't happen by noon tomorrow, it gonna be a epic disaster right to the end of the season.

We're pretty much but not totally done for the season. What's left has to be all about prepping for next year (again) abd playing for pride of being a Bomber and being a pro.

Can't fault the defence. If you have ever worked in a place where you are busting your bottom and a colleague or colleagues were humping the pooch, you would have an ides how angry and frustrated the defence is right now, and its gonna get worse unless BIG changes happen.

DoD, you need to change the title on the thread to "Another Post-Mortem".

As long as Bellefeuille remains, we will lose, maybe by a better score, but a loss is still a loss and for the eternal optimists among us, that ought to end any thoughts of playoffs. If Bellefeuille is canned and Nichols starts, we have a shot at an ugly win. Thar said, I do not see O'Shea tying the can to any of his coaches, and by doing so, will likely screw himself out of a job that he has proven ill-suited for.

You may want to review the offensice game stats before trying to defend that statements. Its probably not all his fault, but he was nowhere good enough to be a starter in any league except maybe the Lingerie League.Are you suggesting you want to see Brian Brohm in lingerie?? Hajrullahu is probably repairable, Brohm is just dead weight.

Bob Irving is a good commentator but he is in a bind. If he really grills O'Shea, he gets terse, rote answers much as Doug Brown got from O'Shea in the post-game show. If the Bomber coaches are told to drop cliches and give pre-rehearsed answers, then Irving is scrooged, so he plays nice hoping to get a crumb once in a while.

Walters has upgraded the Canadian talent since his arrival, and that would include Westerman, Neufeld and so forth- not to elite (Calgary) level but much better than the Mack and Kelly eras. I suggest that Walters has another year to turn things around but beyond Hall and a couple of other assistant coaches, we need to flush the crapper. Our talent is not great but until we have competent coaches, we won't know how good they really are.
