Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
(Moan) The faithful cannot stomach another blowout, and one at the hands of the RedBlacks would be devastating. If we get butt-kicked tonight, we might as well concede the remaining games and call it a season.

Tajh Boyd Released
Doesn't surprise me. His first interview he said he was wanting to get back into the NFL. I never believed he really wanted to be here. Does make me wonder why he bothered making the trip to Winnipeg in the first place.

Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
No reason that the Bombers shouldn't beat Ottawa tonight. Burris can win the game all by himself if given enough time to plant his feet and look downfield, so getting pressure on him, particularly in the first half. The Bomber defence and offense have to get untracked early in the game. If they wait until halftime to adjust to Burris and Co., the RedBlacks could so far ahead that the sluggish offense will have no hope of catching them. Bombers have to keep it a low-scoring game.

Grey Cup Ticket Sales
Our half time is not long, so if you want people to perform in the center of the field, you really can't have much, if any stage there. So that means that the stage has to go at one end of the stadium or the other, I'm at a loss as to where else one could put it. Don't see too much conspiracy here. Haven't they put the stage for the half time show for pretty much every other Grey Cup in the past two decades on the field? I'm pretty sure other Grey Cups have even managed to have the stage in the middle of the field. Suddenly now, in 2015 the half time is not long enough to do it? Yes, time moves faster now, or hadn't you noticed? If you hadn't, you will... trust me! I could very well be mistaken. I don't pay attention to the half time show in general, but from my recollection, if they were on the field, I really didn't notice a stage, as such. It would seem to me that having a fixed and ready stage at one end would allow for more elaborate planning of the act (pyrotechnics, lights and other "eye candy") than might otherwise be practical. "Time is like a roll of toilet paper- the nearer you get to the end, the faster it goes."

I somewhat agree with the poster, given how inept the offense is and nothing in the current pipeline, a move to acquire a receiver and running back would have been prudent. In reality, Bomber chances of making the playoffs are very, very slim, so pushing to bolster the team at the expense of evolving the team would make little sense. Like it or not, we are auditioning for 2016 already.

Dominque Davis
'Rushed into starting' says it all. At least they got starter reps. Starter reps are important, more important for some than others. One of Brohm's failings is coming into the game cold. It seems he just can't do it, and therefore he is becomes expendable next year. Can Dominic come in cold as a backup? Maybe, we'll find out if we get eliminated, but not before. Given O'Shea's tunnel vision, I wouldn't bet on any changes at QB, no matter what.

Dominque Davis
Brohm may have "some" CFL experience but he has performed worse than most of the CFL rookies who have been rushed into starting this year, so I do not see any reason he would be put on the field ahead of anyone else on our roster.

four grey cup appearances in 8 years two wins Considering how Bauer hobbled Taman when they were with the Bombers, he did pretty good. With the Riders, his biggest sins were poor succession planning and budgeting.

For financial reasons alone, the Argos will have to part with either Ray or Harris, both of whom will be hot property for several teams.

Picard Out, Goossen Starts At C
The Bomber O-line looked better against BC but the Lions do not have a premier D-line, but even the best O-lines will have the occasional group brain cramp. Hard on the quarterbacks and running backs, but it happens. Ottawa has a darned good D-line, so that should be a good test Friday night.

If the board is going to interview Taman for GM, they ought to make sure he can work a calculator as part of the process.

Als Trade Number 2
Even if there were no concussion protocols like in the 70's, playing with a stiff neck wouldn't be smart. The stiff neck could also be the result of swallowing a Viagra pill too slowly.

Als Trade Number 2
Hate this - his career could be over. He's IMO the greatest Canadian RB ever and deserved a better end to his career. He may be forced to retire if he does indeed have a concussion - he'll be hit again (and again) when he comes back even if he's not carrying the mail and I don't think his body (or his head) can take it anymore. Sure first ballot HOFer Sad to see Corndog nearing the end of his career. Head to head with Harris, he was still the better running back although Harris might be a better receiver out of the backfield. Still, I would not wish for Cornish to have the headaches, dizzy spells and mood swings associated with the long term effect of concussion- Dunigan has been pretty graphic about what living with that is like.

You don't think Nichols for a 7th rounder would qualify? Yes, yes, but what did he do for us yesterday?

Sask and BC will probably be looking for experience behind center in the off-season, so Ray won't be unemployed too long. Harris looks more than good enough to start next year.

Als Trade Number 2
Walter would be a nice addition to the Bombers if he comes loose, good backup RB and good on ST. They can send the invisible Cronk on his way any time now. If he is invisible, how would you know if he is gone?

Goossen looked no worse than Picard every time he has gone in all season. Shoulda happened in July.

Glenn To Alouettes
Popp's thinking is that Glenn will give the Al's a year to groom Cato who looks like the heir-apparent . A smart if obvious move.

I would bet that Mr. Messam felt out of place in a small city like Regina, and would have been gone at the end of the year anyways. The Rider faithful were likely chafing that McCallum had to be brought back to a team that dumped him so unceremoniously.
