Bombers (...and Jets, Moose, 'Eyes...) Eligible For Millions In Grant Funding
Except that Harper didn't have a minority government for three of the five deficit years, and clung to power only by asking the pliable governor-general to do something never done before in Canadian history- prorogue Parliament when there was every reason to believe that Harper was going to lose a non-confidence motion.

Bombers (...and Jets, Moose, 'Eyes...) Eligible For Millions In Grant Funding
Unlike say, Harper, who ran deficits 5 of the seven years he was in power. He didn't raise taxes, but borrowed to pass the debt down to the next government. It has been the wont of Tories to make token tax cuts after bewailing the state of affairs and then reward themselves and their cronies while slashing vital government services to people like veterans. Government is supposed to balance the needs of all parts of the society they have a mandate to govern and not favour one over another as a matter of policy.

Bombers (...and Jets, Moose, 'Eyes...) Eligible For Millions In Grant Funding
Think again. The PCs in Alberta lost due to their own stupidity, corruption, mismanagement and intolerance. Harper lost because of much the same reason. How many of the things that make Canada a great place to live (UIC, universal healthcare, CPP, the Bill of Rights, etc) have been the result of the Tories? I will give you a hint- the answer is : NONE!

Jolly good, i say. Jolly good! Pip pip hooray and all that.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
It would be a cab ride around him to get to the QB.
-
Bombers Off-Season Transactions
All he really needs to do is just stand there and that will block off half the field

3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Is this a fishing story? Too lazy to hit link to find out.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
The biggest perceived advantages to growing your own QB is in fan identification with him and possible loyalty to the organization for doing the work to groom him.

Walters' Priorities
This has been the knock on O'Shea all along. A good coach knows when enough is enough for a given player, and if any one thing is going to screw things up in 2017, this is probably it.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Nichols is the best hope we've had in a long time, but he is neither Doug Flutie nor irreplaceable. I just wish we'd had a chance to see at least Davis in action this year for a meaningful time.

iHeart- when did you acquire that chain of radio stations and website empire?

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Especially the linebacker. How could he be a flop with a name like that?

Around The League Off Season Discussion
The only scout position I would consider Mack for would be as a standin for Tonto's horse.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
LeFevour is pretty raw but I do like his competitive attitude. Heck, for all we know, Dominique Davis might be as good, but I suspect he will not see the field much before he qualifies for CPP.

Walters' Priorities
You forgot to use the sarcasm font there.

I would bet on it. Its the Glieberguys all over again reducing a once proud franchise to a running joke. Dennis Rodman will probably be announced as head of scouting.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Really.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
I still do not think we would lose that much with Glenn at the helm, and Durant may well be available. Thus, if Nichols is unrealistic about his value, let him test the market.

Maximum Value for our 1st & 5th picks
I am not convinced that Richards is a legit CFLer, but to be fair, he was injured for almost all of the past two seasons and got darned few reps or game action. I hope that he will survive next training camp intact and then succeed or fail on his own merits.

3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea
We've beaten the pros and cons of O'Shea to death in this forum and it probably had little effect on Walters' decision. Time to move on and we will see if this was a smart move in 2017.

3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea
Despite my reservations about O'Shea, at least this is resolved. If nothing else, we have continuity and I am pleased with Walters' work.
