Season opener in Regina
My first time to a game in Regina. We have a group of 4. Where should we be going to meet up with other Bomber fans for pregame festivities? We are staying at the Delta and plan to get there between 1:30 and 2:00.

The Day Early Game Day Thread - WPG @ SSK
I would guess Burnett and Tyler will be the 2 inactive players. It was interesting to compare our Week 1 this year vs last year. O-Line is obviously the biggest difference and should be vastly improved. I really like the Anderson/Westerman combination over Thomas/Vega but still worry about our LBs. I think the Riders will approach the game wanting to test our front 7 much more than our DBs.

Free agency news
We should bring in more Moore and sign Lance who was released by Pittsburgh today and will have a tough time landing another NFL gig.

2015 CFL Schedule
I had a look at how many times each team plays on 4 days rest. We lead the way at 4 times (in each case the first game is on the road). In the West, BC, Calgary and Sask all do it twice while Edmonton does it once. In the East, Ottawa and Toronto do it 3 times and Montreal and Hamilton do it once. Toronto, Hamilton and Montreal all have one game on 3 days rest. (The Labour day home and home between Toronto and Hamilton is on 3 days rest so at least its the same for both teams) For 3 of our games on 4 days rest, our opponents have 5 days rest. The other opponent will have 6 days rest (Cgy). Only once do we face a team playing on 4 days rest and they are at home for both of those games so don't have any travel to worry about. (Cgy)

2015 CFL Schedule
Our last 3 games are home and home against Ottawa and then in Toronto. Nothing like divisional matchups at the end of the season. Rather strange.

Renaud to Retire
Two less #9's in Winnipeg today. At least one leaves with respect of those around him.

Grey Cup discount for Bomber season ticket holders?
I sense a good percentage of STH's are eternally loyal and would make the commitment as long as there wasn't a severe penalty attached if they couldn't fulfill the commitment. If 10,000 people took the Bombers up on this deal, it would cost $1,000,000. I wonder if this was one of the differences in opinion that led to Jim Bell's departure. As a fan I like it. If I was the CFO, not so sure.

Grey Cup discount for Bomber season ticket holders?
They also advertised that on the roster handout at the game this week. It was the only thing worth looking at on the handout since they printed it with the depth chart from the week before that had Brohm starting. Laughable but more evidence of the impact wholesale changes behind the scenes are having. That said, I will make the commitment.

Bombers release Paul Swiston
I happened to sit beside him at the legacy dinner this week. Super nice guy and sounded like a hard worker. He had tremendous respect for Coach Wylie. Always disheartening to see our Cdn o-line depth shrink.

Depth Chart - Willy out
Unamba starts over Dunn. Sears starts over Sherman now that we have 3 Cdn's on the oline. Kelly and Fraser back on the 46. Woods off.

Bomber transactions
We've been carrying a bunch of healthy guys on the 1 game IR all year. This seems like moves to manage SMS. Did the practice roster expand October 1 to allow them to get a couple of guys off the regular payroll?
