Is 34 really that old? I dont know, it feels like it. Last time my Bombers were a good team was the 80's We've had sporadic success since then.... a few Grey Cup appearances then we would just as quickly sink back into mediocrity. So it's actually been a really lousy 2 and a half decades of being a Bomber fan (holy crap 25 years..) I feel like us older guys maybe lack some perspective and are easier to anger. I guess I'd ask for patience from others who wonder why I fly off the handle a little too fast. I'm just exhausted from my team that I grew up with become the worst team in the league, and for so long. Now with that said, it's not O'Shea's fault what happened for 23 of those years. It's not Walters fault for... 22? Willy has thrown some really bad, awfully timed interceptions but it's not his fault either that this team has been so bad for so long. So honestly, how do you a lot of people around here stay focused on the long term seemingly and not get so disheartened after losses like this? I mean this post in all earnest , no bs. I find myself the same way with some Jets players but can think longer term with them... and they've been gone since 15 years and didn't win a thing when I was a kid. Do the Bomber fans out in the internet land think Walters is the long term key? Is O'Shea a good long term gamble, and these blunders will only make the coach stronger moving forward? I dunno. I guess I'm just thinking out loud. In a way I feel bad for some negativity I bring after losses, but I don't know how else to react anymore after so many years.

sorry to say gents but ill be in attendance today, so, thats not good news. my record for the bombers in calgary is 0-9.

My goodness is this actually happening? Our offense was very average with zero finish, and if not for some terrible Montreal blunders this was a loss.

Becomes pretty crappy when it's a soap opera between posters and basically no football. Being critical and having opinions is the point, but it would be nice if we could stick to football and avoid the soap opera garbage, like labeling and trying very hard to play the role to get the label for example. Sorry but, you invited this own type of posting and content. I asked a legitimate question that the TSN panel themselves talked about at the game; suffering of Winnipeg fans. Your answer could have been: "I don't think our fans will ever really give up but I could see X happening". Instead you chose to make it a drama by insisting posts such as this which mirror/resembled actual football talk that occurred during a game on TSN are what ruined another forum.

i swear i saw posts just like this after we went on a losing streak after game 8 or 7 last year.

I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but, the Bombers have been the best team in the league at breaking their fans hearts and embarrassing them on and off the field for a while now. 24 years no championships. Ugly new jerseys. New stadium woes. So how long do Winnipeg fans stay loyal and keep showing up? I think it's pretty admirable we sell as many tickets as we do considering the on field product we put up with... but that can't last forever.

if i was still in winnipeg, i woudlnt throw good money after bad. this franchise is a disgrace. i support the jets through and through, and im a life long bomber so im no fair weather fan. but the bombers have crossed into chicago blackhawks territory of abusing their fans and sucking (90s and 2000s before toews) #### this team.

remember, this is the same group of meatheads who brought you these nasty jerseys, and then claimed later that it would be too expensive to go back to royal blue, and they've spent so much already on creating a brand. this includes things like letterheads, pens, etc. i kid you not. i wish i was.

Brohm is number 2 on the depth chart. Marve is 3. ok i hope he wins the #2 job then

some people may not like Marves mechanics... but in the end he wins. He's a winner. I really hope that he stays #2 on the depth chart so that if Willy is 2nd half Willy this year we have an option to turn to,

Im not a fan of either Brohm or Willy. I still think Marve is our best QB.

Im sure injuries played a big part of Willys ineffectiveness in the last 60~% of the season. How he rebounds will really dictate how competitive this team can be in the next couple of years.

I would suggest after week 5 or 6 he looked very mediocre. Saying he only struggled in a couple of games is a wildly generous statement.

I don't have a huge issue with this deal, even not liking Willy that much. It's not guaranteed in the next 2 years, so if Willy continues to be mediocre we can let him go. If he plays again like he did first 5 games of last season, then great we have our franchise QB. It's low risk and high rewards. Good deal. As far as Willy goes himself... I'm not sold on him. You can't teach someone to be a good decision maker under pressure. That's a natural gift like speed and size. We have a small sample size on him, though, so hopefully he will turn it around and be a lot better next year.

I'll always be a Jets guy 1st and foremost. I love that team as if they're waging a holy war and I'm a zealot. But I also love the Bombers. My enthusiasm for the Big Blue has faded a lot over the last 2 decades of boobery and poor management. I really hope that's in the process of turning around... because its fun to see the crowd get amped up like crazy when were doing really well

So it's nearly football time again, and with the Jets now gone from the post season my attention has shifted back to the Bombers and the CFL. How was our off season? I noticed we signed a lot of help on offence, specifically our line. Is there a sense around the league of a shift in power in the West, or, are we still looking to a Calgary #1, with everyone else scrambling? Any update on our backup qb situation? Is Marve still unsigned? Even around? Thanks for any updates.

There is very little about you worth respecting, whether I agree with your opinions or not. It's something that is earned, not given. The motto of this forum should be a middle finger. Lol. Wow. Way to be welcoming and all inclusive.
