  1. Neuf too....he was the first pillar actually.....hard to believe he been here 11 yrs now I think...was hurt a bit atfirst and we kept having to trot him out there less than 100 percent because the cupboards were baren....he has put in the time and full dues here as part of the culture with Big Stan...he doesn't get a lot of the credit he's due really....his voice carries a lot of clout inside the walls of the locker room
  2. we were a right dumpster and Tire fire from the top down....right to the core....with only a few salvageable parts...and nobody wanted to come here...it took 2...3 yrs even after Osh took the reigns before anyone of worth would come here staff wise...and thats when we finally turned it around and had the right culture from Management...staffers and workers to compliment the shift in the locker room and on field culture...thank god
  3. Correct ..and it was Miller's vision...he saw we needed serious change top to bottom...and made them And you know this how?? From my understanding and what I heard it was somewhat other way around...osh vision or what he hoped to accomplish tied into in what Miller and Co. wanted to create here...Professionalism top to bottom with quality people This is exactly correct...vision of one matched the expectation of other...
  4. I think you just hit nail on the head there...the Purge needed to start at Oday and the numbnutz above him to create the new culture....and they continue to keep those 2 guys employed We brought in Wade....he cleaned house and set the standard...Promoted Walters...they brought in Osh....the rest is history If the 2 above Osh were not here in the beginning...I guarantee Osh would have been canned ....he almost was...But those 2 believed in their vision...and gave him more time....
  5. the culture there is same as it was, maybe a lil bit less...they just brought in some wolve's in sheep's clothing to keep it more on the down low
  6. yeah when I like to dumb myself up a bit or need a good chuckle I go read thjeir forum...the league conspiracy thread against them is a good read/laugh if anyone wants to throw away 5..10 mins of their life to never get back
  7. I think tho the issue there was/is Oday bringing in again...some kind of selfish idiots...You can see it in their play still Look how for example some..well majority of their recievers act...even on a simple insignificant play....like tools....same on defence....Then watch Schoen...This yr Wilson...Woli....how they act?...night and day And yeah you have to have that trait of a leader...Osh has it....no question...Dickie always got walked on...and got the job by default as there was nobody...Mace as well got it as the bridesmaid....I never really saw the fascination with him to be honest...Plus he needs to act like the leader....and a coach and not be a buddy of the players....he needs a lot of polishing and even then I not sure he will be overly succesful...not to be rude or call a guy out but he doesnt seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer Osh was/is very schooled in the game....and league....huge difference there.... yup...pretty sure nobody will pull wool over Miller's eyes
  8. reading some of the "expanation" too in the go fund me about how its conspiracy just makes you shake your head
  9. I agree for sure...every coach will bring some of his personality/ideals to the team....hence I said before if you don't bring in a true assbag...you would be fine, and I have full faith in Miller and Walters to not do that Also Miller/Walters would stress in interview process....Like they did with Osh..."This is what we want to accomplish/create here" and if the candidate doesnt see it that way...seems to be incapable of it.....or wants to do his own bizzare take on things...they will be coaching elsewhere
  10. players wanna play in a good room...good culture....they not gonna go and sabotage that...especially with a vet core, and yrs of success.....unless the G.M was an idiot and brought in bad characters....and I dont see Walter's....and definitely Miller going that route Osh is definitely the curator of the football aspect of things...not a doubt at all about that....and any player will like playing for a coach that respects them...and a "team" that does the same and compensates them fairly...and not just monetarily If Osh was to have moved on in 2021...2022...we would have had the same success if the other pieces from Wade to the waterboy...and staffers were all in place...and who knows...we may have been possibly better...but I know we wouldnt have fell off the cliff and saw a mass exodus of talent run away I'd be more concerned if Miller jumped ship...and to lesser extent Walters
  11. thank god for that,,,I couldnt imagine 4 losses in arow Have no issues with Walters to be honest other than at times he's too quiet....
  12. But others can comment their views on the contrary?...bro...and many don't get it
  13. Miller and Walters laid out the blue print fir what they wanted...Oshea carried it out...he didn't mastermind it..he was a guy entrusted to carry out the master plan with culture... Yeah...that was some bad lazy assumption journalism
  14. Was gonna say..Claybrook's 2.0
  15. With Ayers coming on strong and playing reps on defence...Griffen being lights out....and The Pickett rupotured Achilles in Ottawa I'd be packaging up one of Cole or Wilson with maybe a conditional pick and look to get OL guy Hogan-Saindon off thier 1 game...I sure they won't trade Bull....Then we can use as the 7th oline guy if we continue to roll with 7 and not waste a DA spot with Vanterpool
  16. just falling apart at the seams in Sask....beautiful....and add a bad character guy in Armstead freshly into the mix....couldn't be better timing
  17. Healthy bodies and options to move around seem to be coming into play at the perfect time....bodes well
  18. he has picked his game up for sure from what it was...now is it cohesion?...change in philosophy...did he get "coached" up a lil to be more cerebral?...who knows....but I be a bit leary with eggs all in his basket for 2025
  19. who are the lurking great ones? He's a legit pass rush specialist....very active From some colleagues I work with even tho undrafted was viewed as a guy who if he could put on some weight would be a legit dedicated pass rush guy, but from what I know he hasn't buked up....even with a few recent NFL camps....and would be perfectly suited to the CFL game if he comes in here at 235...245 pounds....I could easily see him supplanting Haba if actually given a real opportunity....
  20. Hey when did we pick up Jay Person?? This is a good signing...I hope they dont looksee and bring back for TC...This a dude we should have on PR for the rest of yr...and work him into some game time
  21. Also need o employ 3 athletic guys...ones who prsue and can move vertically...guys who can get off a block and make a play...we have those guys....will we use them extensively?...Thats the rub I still think tho for this game...the 3 man...especially with Jake taking majority of reps at nose...is recipe for disaster
  22. Here's a question.... Edm...most rushing yards in league...best average yard per rush....use 3 RB's to keep them fresh and are gonna use a running/mobile QB for this game...so our dline will have to be very busy/active and likely doing a lot of chase and outside contain while still having the muscle in the middle Do we run 6 dlineman out there again...2 of which are sub par and have minimal pursuit and technical skill to counter act anything....dress an extra DB as well as have the extra Hallett on roster which is overkill as e plays teams only....Or do we add Adams....and Hubert...have a stronger more versatile...AND athletic front...to try and minimize or stifle the run?...would running out that sad dline rotation of last game against a team that has ability to gouge an inferior, and under-manned dline be the smart roster decision?....Will we again run a 3 man front to take away the pass of Edm where they rank in bottom half of league in passing and encouraging DFord to take off and run at will against a 3 man rush...with 8 guys dropped into soft zone coverage? If we do that...would anyone here think that was the smart decisions? and the best roster for this particular match-up? As a coach...and yes I coach....would not be running out a similar lineup and scheme as to what we had last game
  23. People are quick to toss all the accolades on a guy....but will ignore the negatives and bad traits...cause we won some games....we did this...we did that...bkah blah blah Well we could and should have won more...had 4 cups....maintained an re-stocked top end players....but we havnt....and it fell right on the coaches feet.... Every coach I have ever known first hand....or in leagues I have been in for all their success's...had fault's and bad traits/bias'....it's not to take away anyhing they have done, but more of a it should have been better...or imagine what if, but most the people here spin it as some posters think they know more...and maybe in some instances some do see the forest thru the trees and do see a better way....it's not un-common And many still look past the fact that in the first 2 cup runs...in many instances we won despite the short sightedness....That will happen when you have some top flight generational talent in their prime able to play above an beyond and mask the short comings...we don't have that now....but still have some poor rostering...and poor game plans...and we sit 7-6 and lucky to be in first...due to a few teams tanking, but also we are close to at par with talent now with everyone...some instances below par....and the record reflects it....Osh didn't in game 5 formulate a new plan or do something radically different to turn it around...he did nothing really....only when injuries happened...we just Lucky Campbell screwed his team dynamic up and Mace is just an idiot Coaching lost us the last 2 cups...any argument otherwise is just nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking....and the 2021 cup was a lucky win too....we escaped that one...were almost outcoached in that...and were severely outcoached in 2022 and 2023....but ya but we made it??...who effin cares...we lost...when we shouldnt have I will reiterate...out of the coaches in the league Osh is the one I want before all the trolls start their usual tripe....But he can be better...and based on past failures and why we failed...he should be better....learn from your past failures...dont repeat them
  24. Playing a guy out of position...instead of where he was one of top rated players in the nation at his position isn't being given a chance really Just like Thomas is better than Fox..Woods...Adams...yup...OK Kramdi better than Griffen...sure Johnson better than ....well anyone Mitchell on PR because?. And that's just this yr
  25. And yet...prob left a good 10 games on the table...and 2 cups...if only he would adjust some his weaknesses I believe Goevia..walters...McManus...rigmaedan...and others brought players in...and in many instances the best were not put on roster...or were used as 2nd string/role players... Yup...lol...typical ya buts....but being satisfied with really good as opposed to altime generational...4 time Champs....if really good for a bit...but failed due to poor decisions...avoidable ones...and not learning from the first failure is good enough for some...and viewed as excellence..than so be it for that faction....doesn't work for me tho
