Fox and Haba are hardly new tho...both been here since last yr, and that really is a pretty weak excuse if a guy is talented enough. You don't learn much or really get to show much in practice over the course of a yr...not in this day and age Athleticism...ability and ability to play with speed....if you have that...you will be just fine...

or Ayers...Wilson and Cole....even better...see what Ayers has...dont know until you try....You definately know what you have with Gauthier...limited effectiveness as an every down guy...but as solid as their is in the league for a role and certain down and distance scenarios

Is a better option tho wilson between Cole and Kramdi...I say certainly....and I not even a fan of Kramdi taking starter reps....in rotation sure but not the bulk

and as many have claimed here that the firt 2..3 games are pre-season games anyway...and support the notion that sitting some guys with zero reps is aokay as thats what these games are for...well then take it further and test out the possible future and see what they have...you already know what a lot of the past has done...and their ever increasing limitations....no??

Exactly....zero....If I could see it as actually a football talent related thing...as well as player upside/future and more importantly development in areas of need then I would be on board....But as a coach myself the goal is always to put out the best roster, giving you the best chance to win....within the rules of your league, and never to play favorites.....I not seeing that here....

what do you call playing an inferior player...over a more talented one...in effect making your overall roster weaker?....Lets take Nationality out of it...what would that be looked as....especially when you "don't" have to do that...

it is when bottom line is a championship...also when you start more than you need to....over talent...I get it...Its the CFL and you think it's better the more Canadians there are...It is if it about patriotism and pride...It's not when you sacrifice talent...skill and Cups tho....plain and simple he get it...many dont tho....sadly

If Lawson didnt go down...Would we have dressed Lawson and Schmeck (who has upside, and showed well...so far tho it just Pre-Season) Or would we have seen Thomas and Lawson....Thomas who has shown considerable decline...has no upside...and shouuld without a doubt NOT be here next yr anyway...so why even go that route.....discuss amongst yourself but based on this depth chart...we all know the answer Going with Gauthier and Thomas tho isn't a "win now" thing...thats the rub...Vet presence is good...and fine...until skill erodes We have more than enough vets rostered to be succesful

true....but we all know the "starters" will get plenty of reps...too many.... The fact we knew we needed a DT...Upgrade at SAM... 2 corners...then before camp a MLB (tho was apparent we needed an heir before the injury situ) then another DT as Lawson went down and had all camp to un-earth a player for each spot, with no restrictions where it had to be a Canadian...and running out Gauthier...Thomas...and Kramdi as the best we could come up with...thats a pretty sad state of affairs any way you slice it. We did the right things with the corners in my opinion, so thats a good thing...we kept 3 dlineman who should never have been cut/PR'd and thats good.... 2 of the 3 "starters" are solid rotation and in game back-ups if injury arises....that should be their role.....Thomas is just a waste of a spot and delaying the development of a younger Canadian. I'm sure tho a play will get funneled right to him standing their taking up space and people will chime in...Thomas!!!....and it will be comical but expected I said way back in camp I bet we see Gauthier..Thomas...and Kramdi as defcto starters...and viola what did we get...they were pencilled in there from the get go regardless of what transpired in camp save for an injury. Hopefully the play of the back-ups will relegate them to back-ups and one them possibly off the roster....but I not holding my breathe on that....

I want best players playing and taking 75 to 80 percent of the snaps.....we aren't doing that....why is that?

yup...some people just dont get it...understand it...or see it...hey see wins in previous seasons....but fail to see the other stuff...failure in playoffs due to exactly what we are seeing...again....hate to wish for injuries...but man o man... not shocked in the least...predictable and sad....hopefully as the game progresses our mighty HC will see that starting 10 Canadians...1 of whom shouldnt be even dressed and the other 2 should only sub in will make us a weaker club over all. 100 percent.....if the timing was switched, and Osh had Lapo's tenure...Lapo had Osh....be a different story...That being said lapo would have had to put in place quality co-ordinators to make things work and let go of the micro managing...Osh had next to no success when he had to hire crap co-ordinators....wasn't until quality ones were in place that the ball started rolling...I will always say a HC is only as good as the staff around him, as they are the guys who create the system the team plays within...HC obvioulsy can have some say and over rule things, but then thats the slippery slope you get on...and trouble brews In all honesty if a HC has the right support...they will be succesful unless they are just a complete moron and dictator who wants to control everything...

Lapo didn't get the rope Osh did...and had misfortune of working under piss poor management who didn't know how to create yet alone build a sustained winner and organization Osh got that luxury and was damn lucky as his tenure in about the same amount of time was horrible...and had multiple bone headed moments Any coach with half a brain...and given the time can create a winner if given the tools and the upper management Our success and sustained ability to maintain comes from above...facts...it's up to the HC whoever he is here to foster it

I agree...they should give him a segment every telecast...I'd even go as far as a weekly or monthly show with content like that

I dont think any commentator has actually educated a viewing fan in ages on TSN...Dunnigan actually when doing color will say things that will make the average fan go hmmm...interesting....even little snippets would be fine saying and showing how when a team sends a certain guy into motion....that the QB as well as the secondary recievig targets will recognize who moves with that guy tipping off coverage , and then where to attack, or modify their route/read.., or when guys in waggle/motion forward jam the breaks on...and reset....looking like they are out of sync...even a few commentators have said..."oh....Bombers...or whomever almost went off side there"....when in fact its designed to again get defense to undisguise what they are doing... so many little things that are not even talked about, lf explained would really give a viewer, and fan a better understanding of whats going on

yup...we used to employ a Canadian who essentially had no impact in any play...often was rarely even covered, and was never integral to anything we did as an offence....my how times have changed for the better If Edm had a compatent short yardage guy lsat yr they likley would have had 2..3 more wins alone due to some of the circus stuff we saw where they just looked like they were wanting to give a game away. The 2 games vs the Riders I believe would have been wins if i am remembering the bafoonery correctly

not greatest in backfield either with blocks nope yup...nailed it Loss of Pushoff Rhymes and Hatcher...who was by far their best reciever, is a lot to overcome for the VAJ...Hollins flourished moreso from those guys being in the lineup....he doesnt have that now I look at our unit...U try and take away Lawler...One of Schoen or Demski gonna scalp you....or remove Scoen...Lawler will have a hey day....Plus both those guys as well have proven track record for us of being critical 2nd down conversion guys....and we havnt even touched on dependeable Woli also in the mix, and fact BO and Strev will be runing it down yer yapholes....wearing you down....no team in the West has 3 top end guys like that who also double as conversion guys...and a horse and a bull in the backfield on top of it

Harris...tho BLM hurts himself trying to help him up....Masoli with all the luck he's had trips over the both of them...breaking something....and Cries of "we are snake bit again" squeel outta Saskatchewan as Patterson is a poor mans version of Shiltz.....but with minimal passing skills, and Dole Bannana out in B.C shows he's more than a capable back-up and spot starter, and Fine lands somewhere else as a 3rd string, on a playoff bound team.....The Mace era starting out splendidly in the process with les wins than Dickyboi produced in last 2 seasons....hjow's that??
